For all the Brits living abroad, the sight of the River Tyne, the beach at Whitley Bay and St. Mary's Lighthouse is like a caress to the heart, it touches the fibers of your soul. There's nothing like Home💖 I love Newcastle!!! 💖💞🥰🥰🥰
I live in South Shields that was on the left of the mouth of the Tyne in the film. I can see planes taking that path all the time. Not a day goes by when even though I was finally able to get on a plane for the first time I don't look out for planes and wish I was up there. My gf has probably been to Newcastle Int. Airport more times than my place. I have only been there once and it looked so space-age. Everywhere and every process and procedure so new, strange and unfamiliar. There is a metal box thing upstairs you have to put your boarding pass in that scans it for something and once a light goes green you can pass. That was so new I didn't know if I was doing it right. Then I encountered some form of security area where you have to put your every possession on a tray for it to go under a scanner on a conveyor belt (presumably to see if your wallet contains a bomb) I think and there is a doorway you stand under where pervs frisk you to see if you have a gun on you. That part scared me. I thought I was going to get arrested. But would I go again to get a flight? Absolutely. It's worth going through that to go on a plane.
How bonkers, watched this thinking "I remember landing there a few years ago in a C172N G-LANE and parking right there... hold on... that looks like a 172... (checked the date in my log book) that is me!!" Strange coincidence 😊
