As a gay person I love this video so much because it doesn't only show the sexual and romantic aspects of a gay relationship, or any relationship, it also shows grief, anger, joy, contentedness, forgiveness, and shows realistic arguments or loss of love that can occur in any relationship. This video shows the full spectrum of the romantic and sexual experience, between two gay men, acted out wonderfully by these two supportive idols. Thank you so much for this video.

onlyoneof is truly so brave. theyre in a very conservative country where an artistic choice like this could literally end their careers, but despite the risks they are putting full effort and sincerity into portraying these beautiful stories and building this inclusive safe space for so many people i really can't thank them enough
the green shirt rie takes off at the pool can be seen hung up to dry in the ramyeon eating scene on the balcony. so the underwater kiss that follows is most likely part of the flashbacks too. when they see each other at the pool again rie is in the blue sweater that he's in at the cafe at the end of 'be mine' which leads me to believe that is the real ending scene of their storyline, them reuniting and possibly making up with the kiss that junji leans in for while the lyrics go 'it doesn't have to be perfect'

The interesting aspect of the story line so far is that: Even within the same relationship, the way each partner interprets it can be very different. Every time when the new song is released, we get to see a new story. OOO is playing this concept very well, congratulations Rie!💞

wow. I’m a gay teen and I am in awe of this song. Barely any kpop has openly LGBTQ stuff, and I just feel so happy that they did this, and have for a long time. They aren’t afraid to face less coverage in the media or hate, and I hope that more people will find them because representation really does matter. I am just so happy!! ❤❤❤
I really love how each of the mvs have stories and meanings, like I love how they still incorporated the phone booth, which represents each of their state of mind and the paper cranes, which represents their wishes and dreams. In "begin", Yoojung is inside the phone booth but is open, he is sometimes in and out,making paper cranes. It is very similar to how he feels towards KB, he likes him but is unsure to whether to convey his feeling to him or not. It only took KB to bump into him in the phone booth which slowly opened each others feelings. In "be free", we see tgat KB feels the same way but like Yoojung is afraid, it only took tgat encounter in the booth that they started to open up their feelings which we see in the end where they are in the apartment,where they are cozy with each other. In Junji's "be mine" he is mostly outside the phone booth which means he is more open and free. He and Rie makes paper cranes together,which could mean that Junji want to make a future with Rie. But Rie is afraid, and somewhat not sure how to express himslef, hence he is inside the phone booth closed. It only took Junji gently knocking to let him out and reassuring him. But here in Rie's "because" he somehow cannot fully express his feeling to Junji which causes an misunderstanding, which we see why Junji throws away the cranes or their dreams and steps on it. Ries does like him but is either afraid or does not know how to fully show it. It only takes a conversation in the pool where breaks down his walls. Just like the apartment in the first two MVs, this pool and water may represent Junji and Rie's love for each other. Junji showers Rie with his love thru the water hose. Here they swim in the pool. They jump into it, fully submerging in it, evertything is clear, nothing blocking or blinding them. They the seal it with a kiss just like in Romeo + Juliet. I am so excited to the last two solos coming.
actually the kiss scene in the water was their first kiss since it looked kinda awkward , and the kiss scene that was in the ending and the beginning of junji's 'be mine' and rie's 'because' mv is the make up kiss when they got back together again!!

it's such a beautiful story, such an incredibly bright song. it all seems so sincere and real. an absolute masterpiece. such a sensitive and emotional narrative. even through mv, you can see with what joy and sincere desire these frames were created. onlyoneof does not create clips, but revelations. I am so glad that their whole difficult creative path has led them to such wonderful songs and messages.

Even before that, they'd had queer themes in some of their work. If you haven't already, go check some if their older stuff out!
Since my high school days, I have been listened to different kind of kpop songs. Without considering it's root or backstories, I've listened any song if it captured my heart. Recently onlyoneof gained my attention with their unique concept and I don't see it as an abnormal thing. Though I don't represent those community, I respect any form of love without labeling it. Hope you guys will get more and more love from both local and international fans equally.
Their recent releases (and their whole career tbh) has been incredibly important to many of us. I'm glad they got to produce these songs/videos and that there's a company that is backing them. I hope it exists in the company's values, too.

As someone who has been watching over OOO since LibidO...they've never failed to capture me with their storyline. Being a lesbian, it's so hard to get a happy medium of not being fetishised and getting a happy ending, but OOO always make sure to include the nice moments with the more realistic moments. It's so nice to see a realistic portrayal of a gay relationship, without breaking them all up, killing them off, having them cheat, or just being OTT with the "gay for show" trope.

Out of all the #be songs, this one HAS to be the best one. Rie's VOCALS shined so brightly. He did that. He ate and left no crumbs. The #be concept means a lot to me and I'm sure many lyOns agree. As a gay person I love this video so much because it doesn't only show the sexual and romantic aspects of a gay relationship, or any relationship, it also shows grief, anger, joy, contentedness, forgiveness, and shows realistic arguments or loss of love that can occur in any relationship. This video shows the full spectrum of the romantic and sexual experience, between two gay men, acted out wonderfully by these two supportive idols. Thank you so much for this video.

onlyoneof is truly so brave. theyre in a very conservative country where an artistic choice like this could literally end their careers, but despite the risks they are putting full effort and sincerity into portraying these beautiful stories and building this inclusive safe space for so many people i really can't thank them enough
the green shirt rie takes off at the pool can be seen hung up to dry in the ramyeon eating scene on the balcony. so the underwater kiss that follows is most likely part of the flashbacks too. when they see each other at the pool again rie is in the blue sweater that he's in at the cafe at the end of 'be mine' which leads me to believe that is the real ending scene of their storyline, them reuniting and possibly making up with the kiss that junji leans in for while the lyrics go 'it doesn't have to be perfect'
Thank you for pointing this out! I definitely agree with this interpretation especially with the repeated lyric of "in the end we become one" in this song and the overall hopeful if emotional musical tone.

wow. I’m a gay teen and I am in awe of this song. Barely any kpop has openly LGBTQ stuff, and I just feel so happy that they did this, and have for a long time. I really love how each of the mvs have stories and meanings, like I love how they still incorporated the phone booth, which represents each of their state of mind and the paper cranes, which represents their wishes and dreams. In "begin", Yoojung is inside the phone booth but is open, he is sometimes in and out,making paper cranes. It is very similar to how he feels towards KB, he likes him but is unsure to whether to convey his feeling to him or not. It only took KB to bump into him in the phone booth which slowly opened each others feelings. In "be free", we see tgat KB feels the same way but like Yoojung is afraid, it only took tgat encounter in the booth that they started to open up their feelings which we see in the end where they are in the apartment,where they are cozy with each other. In Junji's "be mine" he is mostly outside the phone booth which means he is more open and free. He and Rie makes paper cranes together,which could mean that Junji want to make a future with Rie. But Rie is afraid, and somewhat not sure how to express himslef, hence he is inside the phone booth closed. It only took Junji gently knocking to let him out and reassuring him. But here in Rie's "because" he somehow cannot fully express his feeling to Junji which causes an misunderstanding, which we see why Junji throws away the cranes or their dreams and steps on it. Ries does like him but is either afraid or does not know how to fully show it. It only takes a conversation in the pool where breaks down his walls. Just like the apartment in the first two MVs, this pool and water may represent Junji and Rie's love for each other. Junji showers Rie with his love thru the water hose. Here they swim in the pool. They jump into it, fully submerging in it, evertything is clear, nothing blocking or blinding them. They the seal it with a kiss just like in Romeo + Juliet. I am so excited to the last two solos coming.

This song is such a perfect match foor Rie's voice! The lead into the chorus is just gorgeous. And of course, the dreamy visuals, the styling, the story... On point as always. it's such a beautiful story, such an incredibly bright song. it all seems so sincere and real. an absolute masterpiece. such a sensitive and emotional narrative. even through mv, you can see with what joy and sincere desire these frames were created. onlyoneof does not create clips, but revelations. I am so glad that their whole difficult creative path has led them to such wonderful songs and messages.
Rie has such a beautiful voice and I’m always left in awe of both him and junjis chemistry they have a great way of also building a story through there videos and concepts which shows so much attention to detail that they have when orchestrating their MV so great job guys and loved it!

This "be" series (begin, be free, be mine, because, and two yet to be released tracks) follows "libidO," "skinz," and their prOduced by [myself] series. Edit after the premier: I like how the MV is made in a way that is open for many different interpretations, just like other OOO work. Each moment is beautiful in its own way, yet we can combine them in different orders to create different full stories. Rie's voice is heavenly, like always. He also pushed his singing further to have a lot of belting instead of the falsetto we are familiar with. The song is still very OOO but has its own unique style and charm. Another masterpiece 👏👏👏

As someone who has been watching over OOO since LibidO...they've never failed to capture me with their storyline. Being a lesbian, it's so hard to get a happy medium of not being fetishised and getting a happy ending, but OOO always make sure to include the nice moments with the more realistic moments. It's so nice to see a realistic portrayal of a gay relationship, without breaking them all up, killing them off, having them cheat, or just being OTT with the "gay for show" trope.
