I was raised on Smaller bore DT175, Dt125, DT100's, Yammy Enduros. Very Durable. Low maintainance... Nice Piece A++.
Great cycle and video... In the early 80s I had a 1978 DT400 which I enjoyed.
I had the sister bike DT250 ,in 1977 ,passed my test on it ,same clour ,loved it. That looks great .
Wowww!! Brings Back SOOO MANY Wonderfull 70's Memories For Me! It was a MAGNIFICENT Time to Be Young! Why?? In the World?? Wont they BRING THESR BACK! Myyy God theyed SELL LIKE MAD!! 😢 God Bless 👍
i would say these bikes are the epitome of big bore 2stroke trail bikes of the 70's. incidently my 1975 yamaha fS1-E 50cc had points & it always ran sweet as a nut. & it was tuned to the max😊.
This bike was a hoss. My dad had a red/black and white 250, same frame, seat and tank style as the 400. I miss those days!!!!
Gorgeous Yamaha DT. My Uncle had a 1978 Yamaha DT 125...Looked almost identical to that. He took of the street gear for the bike, and rode it strictly in the dirt. Then fast forward 5 years, he bought a New 1983 Yamaha YZ 125....loved that bike. I was so small at 10, that I would sit in front of my Uncle with my helmet on..My Uncle was a big dude like yourself. Uncle would pin the throttle and that YZ 125 would be riding wheelies, echoing for 3 neighborhood blocks, when the powerband came on the pipe. I loved that YZ. It was the talk of the neighborhood, amongst all of us young kids. Awesome Video, Bro.
What a beautiful looking bike love it ....not all about going fast
But it will !
Yessir...when I saw the video the other day of all the bikes lined up, this one especially caught my eye! Really sweet!

Thank you for putting on your helmet Ken … ⭐️💫👍🏻🇺🇸
Im looking at one of these up in Canada 1976 tho, about 6500 miles on it, and all original, how have you found bottom end bearings on these bikes, are they good with this kind of mileage, I watch your videos, great info thanks, Scott
These DT’s are great bikes, you cant beat um, actually you probably could ride it quite awhile without honing & replacing the piston .. 👍 Just ride it ..
Cool bike, just like the one I owned back in the day..... great condition for sure...🙂👍🏼🇳🇿
Beautiful!!!
I have a 74 DT250 that looks like refried death but she runs and rides.
Very clean example!
