Brother..that machine is the way of the future... Climbers like you and I will be a thing of the past...there faster, safer, they can go through tight areas, and very easy to set up... Once they become more affordable we are done...Love those machines...makes life sooooooooooo much easier...
if its too windy this 60 footer becomes a 50 footer and thats if i was straight up and down. My point is that we will have a job in climbing forever because these machines have limitations. Keep your hopes up.
@@chtclimbing Yes your right, but those machines can go up till 120 feet...And you and I both know a moderate wind in the trees isn't very pleasant..I hope your are right my friend, climbers will always be needed 😁😁😁
@@carlobernardi1387 Climbers will always be in demand brother don't even worry about that. I work for a company that has two 18.90s platform baskets, two 72ft reach platform baskets. We also have a Teupen TC92SJ - 98 FT reach and we even have an Altec EC175-5S-FG Knuckle Boom Mounted Grapple Saw truck. All that equipment doesn't mean shit when you cant access the tree because of obstacles in the way or steep grades where the machine can't roll on. We have plenty of guys who know how to operate these machines but can't rope climb worth a damn.
I have been climbing since 93, I have had about 2-3 minor falls from branches snapping under me. It always went ok as I was tied in however I have nearly fell five times from these machines malfunctioning. From hydraulics not working to them tipping it was no fun. I have even have them slide down the road on a slope. That particular machine nearly tipped fully when a leg sank into a unseen drain when I was full extended. I have had four frienda tip them completly.
Hey just tried out a CMC 92,arborpro spider lifton the job today. Curious what brand are you using and what did you think. The one i used today was really complicated. Your thoughts please.
I have a 90 foot bucket truck I like the trucks better cause there only one button to move it I don’t like having five or more buttons to move it but that’s just me

What if you can’t drive it in the yard or the driveway ? Climbers will always have jobs in complex situations
