The tail is too thin for most Savannah cats and there should be stripes in the fur (even in the black fur), but if it is a a mix, there is difficult to be sure. The best charachteristica will probably be the cats long legs and thin long body, intelligens and willingness to take orders more as a dog than a cat. Anyway, any household with a "Savannah Cat blood" cat will have a household like none others............. :) We love our "Savannah type" cat! :)
On second thoughts and by looking at the behaviour, I think your cat is a "Savannah type" cat. The thickness of the fur seem to vary but all Savannak type catsseem to like eating green plants. To stop our Savannah (Yes, thats her name) eating up our windows plants we have tried giving her salad blades instead. And it works! ??? Those Savannah type cats are REALLY strange but also fantastic pets. It seems they can learn almost every command a dog can learn :)
Hi Sammy, late response.. Zani is an Savannah male and because its an F6 he is further away for the Serval blood. But never the less...a feisty one. thanks for your comment, greets from me and Zani
I wish I could share links and pictures....this is not a Savannah cat....that cat is Bombay and American short hair mixed....believe you me I breed cats and I know my cats

That's a Savannah? It looks like a run in the mill black domestic short hair.

That's not a Savannah cat. That's an attention seeking person. They should go on dating sites or something!

I have one. They are called Melanistic. Their markings show in the sun light. African Servals can be black on black also.
