When I first heard this song on the radio I hated it, thought it sounded awful.
But then I did a bit of research on Kano, and watched the video here. Then I fully understood the song, and its meanings. Now it’s on my summer playlist and I love when it comes on
Half of me thinks it's a tragedy that Kane isn't celebrated as the best UK rapper of all time, because in LYRICS, FLOW, fluency, musicality and depth - he is the GREATEST. Unquestionably.
Half of me is glad that he is obscure, largely unhyped and modest. Because that's the point. That's why we love him.

not even a contest. Konichiwa will be looked back on as a collection of songs that charted well. there's no story line or flow to it track to track. Made in the Manor is a masterpiece. I think Kano has cememented his status of best grime artist of all time. Only guy out with TWO albums that are classics

Kano is like the Paul Scholes of the grime scene. The backbone of a world class generation and a founding father of a winning era and team. influential and still humble. in another 10 years we'll look back again and realise just how good he was. The lyrics and storytelling ability in this whole album are levels above what else was released around the same time.

This song saved me so much, I suffered a broken back on the 14th of may 2019. I had two surgeries and had moved back in with my parents. I was on a boat load of meds and couldn’t really leave the house and was riddled with anxiety and depression, I managed to walk again and started to become myself and I used to play this every afternoon on a 30 foot sand hill as the sun went down and it was so peaceful and brought me back down to earth.
I didn’t have a lot back then but playing this song and rapping every word in tranquility was something I’ll never forget.
I can’t feel my left leg properly and need to have my discs fused.
But it’s memories like that, that last forever.
Found a-lot of solace in this tune.

Every tune on Made in the Manor gives you something different. The man is a genius and even though he's rated, I still don't think people rate him as highly as they should.
