I found the sensation of speed of my old Cupra 290 more than a stock M140i but I imagine this is far from stock and will be insanely quick compared to a Golf R
Surprising I went from a cupra 290 I had for 4 years to an m140 and the beemer is just faster all together, in gear, from a dig, you don't get that violent wheel hop, I'd imagine compared to a golf r even a stock 140 would feel rapid
Because the 140 is that re-fined it’s hard to feel the sensation of speed sometimes.

@@ScottZ370 the thing is people think the 140 is a hot hatch. It’s not. It’s literally a GT car and the suspension/chassis evidences this. Once you upgrade it though it’s where you begin to feel more connected with the car and it begins to feel more race car and you begin to feel that raw sensation. For the money they’re a cracking car

B48s are literally b58s with 2 cut cylinders( from what the internet says). Although a 3 liter engine( as opposed to a 2 liter one) will always last longer given that it doesn’t have to work as much for usual driving.

@@ahyaan2552There are two variants, one variant is believed to be stronger and there is a RUclipsr with one tuned to around 500 hp and has been running it for quite a while. There doesn't seem to be a clear way to tell which a car will have from the VIN or other info, just have to check the number on the engine directly. Anyway, the pops are probably hard on the turbo. I suppose mild ones might not be too bad, as BMW M Performance kit for the B58 has a bit of juvenile pops and they still honor the warranty.

M140i is better, better engine it's bigger and is a probably the best inline engine in current production, the golf r engine is made of cheese and blows up if you put any torque through it..

They are not strong engines, they require serious torque limitation to make power..., especially when compared to a b58 in a m140i, but what would I know I mean my golf r engine has a brand new cdl block, balanced crank, zrp rods, wossner pistons, super tech valve train, new cams, cometic head gasket, de capped 2018 ra3 injectors, ttrs fuel pump with the blanking plate, aem meth injection and a tte480 turbo...making 447 lbft and 453hp, and is good for 700hp and the total mods on the car to achieve this adds upto almost 26 grand.., where a m140i will do this with no internal mods required..,

Golf R is a boys car.. mercs beemas Audis are men’s cars. S3 just about makes the cut (s3 and above on Audis)
