Got lip filler for the first time yesterday. It's been 29 hours, now. Got .75 ml. Mine have basically not been sore at all. I think it might be because I prepared a lot beforehand. Got arnica pellets (6c) and started that two days before I got filler. Also got arnica ointment and started putting that on my lips the day before my filler. Also chugged a lot of water the day before and the morning of. Also made sure to not have vitamin e or garlic or any other blood thinners for a few days before and didn't drink any alcohol for five days before. Also haven't talked to anyone since getting them done-- I think that helps, not moving them. To minimize irritating my lips, I've only eaten things I can put in my mouth with a fork so that nothing touches my lips. And only drank water so far, gently, from a cup. Of course also been gently icing my lips a few times. And last night to help me sleep, I took an anti histamine which could help with the swelling. Oh and I took 2 extra strength Tylenol one hour before I got the filler. And then took 2 more that night and 2 more today. .. and no working out until day 3!

Firstly, you look fabulous Charlotte.
Secondly, I have had two sessions each of one ml and I did not suffer pain afterwards. My mouth immediately after was a big immobile because of the topical anaesthetic. Pain is so variable from person to person.

I have been getting my lips done every 6 months for 4 years and I just want to say taking a Tylenol right before getting filler and every few hours afterwards helps so much! I normally hate taking medications but its definitely necessary for the pain :)
I'm getting mine done in two weeks, should i take the Tylenol like 30 min before??
Any tips for bruising??

Definitely don’t work out after filler, but next time take arnica before for a few days for the bruising and swelling it’s a game changer
I did the Cannula technique and I had no pain no bruising what so ever. The results were amazing.

The pain is no joke during. Now, I pay my nurse for a full dental block. I can deal with the after, but the injections make me wanna cry! Your lips look so pretty!

So what did you eat or are you able to eat right after ?
Oh no….I never had that problem where my lips were so painful. I used arnica gel on my lips as soon as I got home and also before bed. My lips did not swell up hardly at all the next day. I had bruising on my lips on the right? I’m sorry you had so much pain!
The best tip I ever got was to fill a water balloon or two up with water and freeze it before getting lip filler.
After your appt, (for the quickest healing) gently roll the rounded ice balloon over your lip. The shape is perfect for lips. Highly recommend.
Have you tried using arnica for swelling and bruising?

I think yours look the most natural out of anyone I have ever seen. My step sister has the same issue with no upper lip at all when she smiles but ironically even though she botoxes the crap out of her forehead, she's opposed to lip filler. Go figure! To each their own I suppose!

She could try a lip flip :) (it’s just a little Botox on the upper lip and it helps relax that muscle from thinning the lip out too much )

Nope! No bumps. They haven't completely gone away, I still have some, but I am ready for a touch up I would say!

I just had my lips done for the 1st time too and mine hurt SO BAD during and after! And i said the same thing about feeling like bees! Can i ask if you had your chest done and if so where did you go?
Yes!!! And no I have not had my chest done :) I haven't had any body work, only facial stuff! I most likely will want to though after I have kids (if I am lucky enough!)
Eat tons of pineapple starting three days prior to injections and a couple days after. This will significantly help with both bruising and swelling

Tips I learned this go around and WOW it helped! Start taking Arnica a week ahead of time, take tylenol right after, that night take a couple Benadryl to help with swelling and sleep propped up. Take a Zyrtec the day after. A WORLD of difference this go around. 😃❤️

Love the video though if you get the filler again make sure to not workout/sweat for 3 days after. I saw on the video you worked out like right after, that can make the healing take longer.

I just got my lips done today. I bleed a lot when I got my filler done. I also am bruised a lot but I'm really happy with the results my lips look amazing. I lost my ice pack they gave me but I will just buy another one which is ok. I need arnica also my before was so beautiful and my after is amazing. I got half a syringe of juevederm xc I feel so handsome now. I'm really happy

I agree completely! If you don’t like the filler on yourself, I do it didn’t because I had a lip like yours. The upper was very much smaller than the lower. When I smiled, it disappeared. There’s something called the lip. Flip they do with Botox now. It is amazing! They inject the Botox in the muscles above the lip. I don’t think it’s in the lip, but I can’t remember! It’s lip it’s much less painful. I know that much it is amazing! It’s perfect for me because I didn’t like the puffiness of my upper lip. It looks not like me, but that’s just me and my opinion of myself. I agree with you and I think everyone should be able to do what they want with their body, I just thought that the puff or lip on me was very obvious and the lip flip is not obvious but it gives you a puffier upper lip and if me and you don’t really like it or your boyfriend makes fun of you ha ha that doesn’t matter, but it did to me anyway. I go every eight weeks sometimes every 12 weeks and it works amazing. It does not hurt at all compared to the lip filler.
Yes!! I did a lip flip recently! It wasn't for me (made my tiny lisp worse hahaha), but It think it is a great option for so many people.
