Hi sweetie, thank you for sharing your Sunday hours with us,i enjoyed every moment of it,your kiddos are so sweet,I like very much their involvement in the preparation of food, and I saw them also cleaning their rooms, you did a very good job with them!😊I have also a little garden in front of the block, where me and my family are living, I don't grow vegetables, only flowers, but I love them so much, they are so beautiful! Regarding the stain removal that you asked,I found something very good it's called Triumph, but it's made here in Romania, so I don't think you can find it there...Wish you a beautiful evening, SHAVUA TOV, and,as always, MAY HASHEM BLESS AND PROTECT YOU AND ALL YOUR LOVED ONES EVERY SINGLE DAY OF YOUR LIVES AMEN ve AMEN!!!❤😊❤

The egg shells are good for your garden and flower beds too! So your little one can crack away lol The shell of a chicken egg is about 96% calcium carbonate and is an essential plant nutrient and moderates soil acidity. It easily breaks down in soil. You can get some nice indoor kits to grow fresh herbs all year long and it’ll give the kids something to do. I have a lomi too and love it. My garden and flower beds are so luscious.

My husband and I (on Sundays) have iced coffees together after he comes home from Shul. Kids have already davened and eaten and are playing and it is our quiet time that we LOVE and cherish. We drink iced in the summer and hot in the winter. It is such a small thing, but we are so grateful to H-shem that something so little brings so much joy and "couples time" that with six kids is not always possible. Hope you enjoy your coffee as well

My husband is the gardener we’ve been in this house 3.5 yrs it’s huge and beautifully designed we have raised vegetable beds. Garlic was a big fail even with instructions from Ukrainian friend on how to grow them. Chard is awesome spinach also zucchini we’ve found out they have to be cross pollinated by bees the bees are slacking off so he did the pollination not sure how many we’ll get, our growing season here in Calgary ie foothills of the Rockies is short.

We've mostly had success with vegetables in pots in recent years as composting and replenishing soil is a challenge for us.
Do you make any kind of preserves?
You might like to let each kid pick a nature activity like compass orienteering, sextant, bird watching, mowing if you have a manual lawn mower , terrariums (would be neat in a menorah setup for Rosh hashanah) , drying herbs - if you can allocate a hanging spot in a cool dark basement area ,use wire hangers, pinch herbs into small bundles and attach to hanger with rubber bands (I saw this method on a 'Rebecca's garden' video). Freezing herb cubes (basil is easiest to freeze whole leaves in plastic bags unless you have a dehydrater). Pressing flowers and making cards or putting them in microwavable glycerin soap.
I was part of a girls group that called "keepers at home " ,it was your typical badge earning skill building group squares to checkmark as you completed a certain amount of days and weeks of a task ,cooking, baking, gardening, canning, budgeting. Calligraphy, paper quilling. Quilting,or sewing involved completing a certain amount of projects - a pincushion,a decorative pumpkin,a skirt was one (uh, that was such a trying project because the group leader couldn't get an A-line pattern and it had tiers . They told us not to get a patterned fabric like plaid we would have to match up but some did. One of the sewing machines we shared was sticking. It put some of the girls off of sewing permanently.) If I went back and did this however,I would like the first project to be carpentry, make a hope chest, have a place to put my most memorable projects, and earn household items like china,or candelabra instead of badges.
If your kids would like to share any homemaking or skills in a dedicated video please do🙂☺️ . Compiling that into a template might even be interesting for your young viewers. Teens seems extremely difficult for experimenting as they are past the paper plate crafts and not quite running their own home. Especially your eldest might share active ideas like dance and music or things preteens/ teenagers might like.
What's most commonly grown in your New York area? Field crops are soy, corn, and wheat. Tomatoes in Leamington. I watched Joan Nathan's video tour of a vineyard in the 90's ,but aside from Israeli agriculture I don't think of many Jewish farms here in North America - particularly Orthodox as we associate it with cities like Brooklyn. If you know of a video please recommend,or if you'd go on a field trip with your kids to something like a kosher dairy farm I'd love to watch.

We grow our own vegetables and herbs in our yard. Also, we have two little separate gardens for our grandchildren, who run to see how their plants are growing each time they visit. Clean-up question? When we redid our kitchen I always wanted a deep farmhouse sink made out of copper. So, I have a separate plastic bucket inside the sink so that as I work and finish with one tool or dish, I plop it in the bucket that is filled with soapy hot water. Then, I wash up after all is done or in the oven. Where do you live? I am in Los Angeles, so regardless of the heat of the day, the mornings are cold and hot mugs of coffee are a must. In the afternoon, the second mug is ice coffee, of course. I think it depends on where one lives

Each year when the nice weather comes, I buy a big box of sidewalk chalk for them. We let them draw all over our driveway/ carport! They love it! I also get them craft kits to do on rainy days. In this heat, cold coffee is my preferred way to drink it. I'm quite fond of the mocha flavored iced coffee by International Delight. My favorite flavor of theirs was the Hershey Chocolate Caramel iced coffee, but they seem to have stopped making it as I cannot find it anywhere in any of the stores!
Your garden is coming along well. I was an avid gardener myself, but my recent pregnancy, birth, and now the care of an infant means I have very little energy to care for a garden (also, the infernal Arizona heat further limits the time I can spend outdoors). I hope to get back into it soon. I miss looking out my kitchen window and seeing flowers and fruits+veggies for us to eat.

I use Dawn dish soap (original blue formula) to remove laundry stains. I also dilute it with water in a separate soap bottle and found that it penetrates the stains better. Pour about an inch of Dawn in the empty soap bottle, then fill with water. Shake the soapy water then squirt on stains. Doesn't take much. I would suggest doing this at least an hour before you put the clothes in the washing machine.

As for a cleaning agent, i use 409 on most things. Doesn't work the best on oil stains. But it's better then nothing. It works great on dirt and grass stains. I saw in the comments some great ideas like dish soap and shampoo which im going to try myself!!!! Lol 😊 have a great week. Very nice video and your garden and flowers are beautiful! ❤

I always clean as I cook. But may husband is the main chef in our home and be leaves a huge mess. I don't mind doing all the cleaning because I'm so grateful for his cooking. Although I certainly would love if he cleaned as he cooked. Hehehe!

A few years ago, I got it in my head that I must teach my children how to disjoint a chicken and cut them into pieces. So I bought 4 whole chickens, and had my then teens sit around the kitchen table with me and we all cut up a chicken. I found it fun! (They did too...they like it when I teach them kitchen stuff). So I didn't save any money by cutting up the chickens, because there's not such a price difference between cut up chicken and whole in our town. But I did have enough chicken parts for a few Shabbosim. And now my kids have a memory from when their crazy Mom made them cut up chickens.

Dawn dish soap to remove oil stains on clothes. Take a tiny dot and massage it into the stain then rinse with water before putting in the wash.

Love that little dance you do after your first sip of coffee ❤ we always have peppers and tomatoes. I did plants some mustard greens and kohlrabi and endive, mint and Thai Basil..it’s all doing pretty well. Coffee grounds are good for the soil unless it’s flavored coffee.
