You can explain math so good that I understand it better. Been watching you since I was in High School and now that I’m in college, I recommended you to my sister and so far she’s enjoying math bc of your tutorials
When I saw that which looked to me a mistake, I paused the video and came to the comment section to find out if anybody else noticed that. Luckily, your comment came top.
Hello Brian, thanks a lot for making this video. When you factored out -2x^2 + 3x - 1 with the negative sign, you forgot to write the ^2 on 2x. You wrote -(2x + 3x -1). It’s -(2x^2+3x-1).
Ty for helping! I’m pretty good at math but I rarely do I get stuck sometimes. My teacher sometimes doesn’t explain things well/properly. Ty for helping.🙏🏼
I'm convinced it's better to just multiply the denominators and simplify from there. LCD just isn't worth it when it comes to complex rational expressions. You'll get the same end result (remember to simplify) and suffer less of a headache.
Oh MY GOD IM SO THANKFULL YOU DID NO. 4 IKNOW THIS VIDEO IS A LONG TIME AGO BUT I AM SO THANKFUL THAT I HAVE FOUND A COMPELTE REPLICA OF OUR MATH QUESTION. THE NO.4. IVE BEEN SEARCHING FOR HOURS ON HOW TO SOLVE A QUESTION THAT IS LIKE THE NO.4 AND HERE IT IS .
Did anyone else notice in the first one he didnt end up changing the +2 to a -2 immediately after point it out lo. I think the answer is -1/x-1 I'm sure that can be really confusing to someone trying to understand and they don't understand what to do from the very first example.

Thank you for posting. now covid in covid 19, studying math is super hard for me in grade 9 cause i cant understand them myself also theres no video call so i really want to thank you for making it this easy
You have to multiply constant of a ax^2 to the last terms and then try to split the middle term of quadratic equations ax^2 + bx + c to the "c" which is in this case is 2
Hello there, I am bit confused with 3rd Question - After you found common denominator x + 1, x +2, why did you not multiply Numerator 5x - 1 with x + 2, like you did on Right side of equation with 2x ?
Because what it needs is only x+ 1 on the right side to get a common denominator. The left has a complete set (x+2) (x+1) so, you can leave it as it is.
What if you have a rational expression with no variables in the denominator like this one 3x/8 +y/8? in this case I have a common denominator already however am uncertain how to solve.
i’m not gonna lie. multiplying and dividing rational expressions are way easier and convenient for me than adding and subtracting them. finding lcd is my major weakness 😂
I think you made a minor mistake with the first one when you multiply the negative with x and +2 wouldn’t the end result be x+1-x-2?
Yeah, as x+1-(x+2) is the same as x+1-1(x+2) and if you take away the parentheses + becomes - , resulting into x+1-x-2
The result is -1/x-1
So I am not the only one who noticed it. Wohoooooooooooooooooooooooooo
Seeing Im not the only who noticed it makes me think my math is improving.

For the third problem, how did you come up with the denominator (x+2)(x+1)? Can you please explain how you "factored" to come up with that LCD?
(x+2)(x+1) adds to 3 and multiplys to two
Organic Chemistry Tutor + Brian McLogan = Math is easy
The denominator in the final answer of number four can still be factored to (4x) (x+1) (x-1)
Did anyone else notice in the first one he didnt end up changing the +2 to a -2 immediately after point it out lo. I think the answer is -1/x-1

Hello Brian:
You forgot to write the exponent of 2 on the first term when you factored out the negative sign -> 8:51 to 9:00.
question for the first problem you did. When you distributed you didn't put a negative for the 2 so -x-2. why is that I'm a bit confused there
Thank you very much!
Ser for number one positive 2 should be negative because we distributed - to x+1
So helpful ☺
Happy to help
@@brianmclogan thank you 😊
Thanks a lot!
Man, your explanations are better than my teacher's but is -(x+2)= -x+2 I thought the product of a positive and a negative equals to a negative, right
Woah thank u sir it really help my grade 8 kiddo
Thanks you
3+4= 7 /12
40×30 =270
2+6 8/12
3++4===7/12

2++6===8/12
@9:20 5x-1-2xsquared-2x becomes 3x-2xsquared-1/. Why can we subtract to get x? (3x-2xsqu = x)
You have to multiply constant of a ax^2 to the last terms and then try to split the middle term of quadratic equations ax^2 + bx + c to the "c" which is in this case is 2
I want to ask you a question
If for example
x/y+y/x = p/q +q/p
Then prove that x/y = p/q , q/p
X^2/Y^2===p^2/q^2
Thank you!!!!

Hello there, I am bit confused with 3rd Question - After you found common denominator x + 1, x +2, why did you not multiply Numerator 5x - 1 with x + 2, like you did on Right side of equation with 2x ?
because that one already had (x+1) (x+2) rather the rational expression with 2x only had one of them so you need to have both.
Because what it needs is only x+ 1 on the right side to get a common denominator. The left has a complete set (x+2) (x+1) so, you can leave it as it is.
Why you look like off brand johnny sins? I like yea cut G real inspiring
Brian always carrying me in math 😤
1:24; shouldn’t the 2 become a negative?
For the third one with the trinomial, why didn’t you distribute the 5x-1 with the two factors of the trinomial?
OHHHHH BECAUSE THEY CANCEL NVM
I’m wondering the same thing
What if you have a rational expression with no variables in the denominator like this one 3x/8 +y/8? in this case I have a common denominator already however am uncertain how to solve.
So do you have to factor out the numerator for the final answer if possible or is it okay if you don't?
Hello. The answer for the problem m-3n/6m^3n - m+3n/6m^3n is -1/m^3. I don't understand how to get to that answer. Can you explain it to me? Thanks.
idek what it is but when you explain math it like 35 times easier 😩😩
-1/x-1
The final result of the first example should be -1/x-1
You forgot to distribute the minus
You explained it well but i still can't understand number 3 like how did it turn the 5 to -2x to 3x

Wouldn’t the first problem be -1/x-1 ? B/c you’re distributing the negative to the (x+2).
I js don't get the 9:30 part how did that became -(2x-1)(x-1)?
Hello Im looking for a vid for Compund inequality

So what would the right answer look like for that equation?
