  • James is interviewed and asked to discuss his journey from senior monk to lay life.
James had been a monk in the Thai Forest Tradition, studying and practicing with many great meditation masters in Thailand.
He then subsequently founded Vimutti Buddhist Monastery near Auckland, New Zealand, where he was the abbot for 18 years. After 35 years as a monk, he made the decision to return to lay life.
You can also have a look at Ajahn Chandako’s Facebook page that was created to post recollections from Ajahn's time at Vimutti.
