@@KeithChapman-rz9zk sound advice mate 🙌
Great videos mate, full of good information and definitely full of great scenery. Now go and enjoy a well earned rest .
All the best matey .
Great work,
Good on you Andy thanks for showing us the real physicalities of gold prospecting climbing up and down into all of those valleys. Plus with summer coming on you don't want to be out in the heat. enjoy your recovery times and sink those beers and gorge on steak lol basically run amok mate lol. Stay safe...
@@rodneymiddleton1044 that’s some sound advice mate haha I think I’ll listen to it and do all those things 😂 cheers mate
Mate, blood sweat, and tears. I enjoy your content and commitment. Get a feed and fatten up bro
@@xfishinternational hell yeah mate, I’m built like a mongrel dog at the moment. All ribs and old fella 😂
GREAT" VIDEO! THANKS 4 SHARING! CHEERS" from -2c Idaho! jd
@@jdean1851 glad you enjoyed it mate 🙌
Seeing you struggle a bit was hard. Then I just read a report that two peospectors perished in the heat at Esmeralda Station the other day a couple km from their car which was near a dam. I go out solo in central and southern NSW but I'm fairly green. Makes me think about if I'm prepared enough. Poor buggers were experienced geoligists that knew the area well and still went up the wrong gully. Breaks my heart. Hope you have a good break out of that humidity. Really enjoying your channel showing areas I'll never get to.
@@mb350 that was very sad about the two geo’s. I’m normally home by midday at the latest when it’s this hot.
Great persistence mate, I wish we had the same type of open ground in my area.. Unfortunately we have thick bush mostly unwalkable and steep mountains.. I’ve found most gold lives in the creeks rivers and gullies. In saying that if there’s a fire it’s game on . 😂😂. Keep it up mate .. fantastic work in hard conditions.
😜✨✨⛏🍺🍺 Cheers
Awesome content mate great lesson's do alot around charters gullies, Hills and hard work love it 🎉❤
@@markkoch5959 charters is a great area and with all that private property, I’m sure there’s some good areas left still. Best of luck mate and I hope you get a monster nugg 🤘⛏️
Great video, can't win every day.
Love your episodes
Enjoyed you on Aussie Gold hunters as well .
Enjoy your well deserved rest 👍
The point nothings is often my sweet spot, ha ha.
@@Andysfishing I’ll take it!! Was good to see that little sliver of gold today 🙌
Great video Andy, we know someone in common.
@@brucebillingphotography cheers mate 🙌 not sure we know in common, but they should be grateful to know two awesome people 😂
Even your worst days are good videos Andy, rest up and catch your breath.
That’s some sound advice 🙌
Hey my brother. Loving your channel. And you’re one handed camera skills and digging skills lol . Wish I was out there with all the crew hunting and walking and finding good gold again. Set backs are part of the games I’ll be back stronger next year. Keep up ya good work and great content. Love it, talk soon. Sidetracked1
@@Sidetrackedandwingingitmining. one handed everything haha I’ll come back with a better setup next year.
@ you always do bro. When ever we see each other out there again Or even if you come mitt for a fishing mission in the tinny with me in a couple local rivers chasing monster crabs,55cm+grunter,jacks, the list goes on,, and I’ve got some mad spots Ladd,,..the invites always there and you got my number😉 hope to talk soon,.
Cool, thanks andy.nice bit of country for a walk anyway
Tenacity 😎💪
All good its got to be done as u said its not a doughnut lol cheers Glenno.
Thanks Andy, looking forward to sharing what we have in store for everyone, look after yourself and talk soon, cheers Andrew
Beautiful clear ground to detect, what a dream
Thanks Andy. Another really informative video about Palmerville. Good to hear and see your comments on ground and vegetation change. Got me keen to research the geomorphology of the region a bit more seriously.
Rest easy and I hope the beer is cold and the shade is ample.
@@joannagrimmer thanks you 🙂 it’s all the little clues that can lead you to big gold 🙌 I use vegetation and termite minds to really highlight those geo changes. Having a basic understanding of geology really helps in this game, but it’s not essential.
Yep it’s all about the hunt, thx for sharing 👍
Great video. Seem like a top bloke, from another surfing prospector, hope you get some good waves and that itch comes back for next year!
@@alexchala7035 I’m looking forward to feeling that salt water on my face for sure. The hunger will be back by about February I’d say 😂
Ahhh, the reality of prospecting, good onya for showing the real thing mate. I reckon we are a few weeks ahead as far as our seasons go. I probably wont be able to get out until March/April now, and even then, the grass will be a pain.
@@topendgold9284 I’ve done a few wet seasons here and it’s just a write off. Good way to go broke 😂 the grass here is a nightmare until the fires kick off. Spear grass in every bit of clothing haha
@AndyLeahyDiaryOfAProspector yep, I still find grass seeds in socks and clothing from last season, then wash clothes that I never wore anywhere near the bush, and a seed or 2 find there way into undies or shirt collars courtesy of the washing machine hahahahha
I have a couple of videos (half arsed ones) I did, you can see the similarities to your country. Have a look at the one I'm getting towed out on my quad, and check out the grass....well into the dry, and still not burnt
Hey Andy, probably the best RUclipsr out there that I watch .
You tell it how it really is and it is very hard work, I lost a couple of kgs on my last trip and it was only 2 weeks full on, can imagine how exhausted you’d be after 8 months.
You going back next year?
Cheers
@@johnandgrace2361 thanks for the feed back mate 🙌 I really struggle with weight once the real heat turns up. It doesn’t seem to matter how much I eat haha it just falls off me. I’ll be back next year 100% 👌
Thanks Andy, for taking us over the ridge and down into, can't help myself, gotta know and screw that gully.
I felt like I was right there with ya, enjoying your knowledge and a laugh. You do have a tough job in the heat and humidity walkin and talkin and then bust another rock but I think your cardio thanks you. Really enjoy your chat and vids mate, all the best going forward. Bloody Legend. (have you read "the river of gold" by hector holthouse ?
@@shaun5824 thank you for such positive feedback back 🙌 I’m really enjoying making the vids, so I’m glad people are enjoying watching them. Cheers mate
Have a good vacation. I laughed when you said the camera doesn't even see the gold. We'll be here when you get back.
Cheers mate 🙌
Awesome work mate
Wish i can go there I'm not far from there 😢
Thanks for sharing the tips.
Ahhh back to civilisation and germs mate 😉
Hopefully we get a decent cyclone season in the south pacific 🏄♂️
Thankyou
Saying it as it is "Well Done" 🤜🤛
I hope you find that gully with kilo's of gold in it Andy!
It might be just a fools dream, but if I don’t try, it’ll never happen 🙌
Those blackened trees means fire went through there at some point, i reckon ide die out there,
@@Fatfreddy7 we have fires here every year. It’s part of the cultural cool burns. They control the land by burning early in the season when the grass is still a bit green. Because if fires start at the end of the dry season, they can get out of control and threaten lives, property and livestock.
No gold in Auckland, so you have my viewing time in New Zealand, please quote me, Aussie,
Thanks for the tour mate, I’ve enjoyed your walk and talks around the Palmer. Do you have permission to access any station ground or only on the Palmerville gold lease? Looking forward to your next season. 👍
@@NeilTaylor-Smith I have permission to most of the station. There are certain areas though that even I’m not allowed to go. But the first three years I only prospected the available ground granted by becoming a season pass holder. Those three years were the most successful prospecting years of my life.
That’s a lot of ground to cover, best of luck mate.
Thanks again mate, can't wait for your next series. luv it. Cheers
Glad you enjoyed it
