Way to expensive. Some audiobooks have two narrators, one for the main male and female characters (such as the King and Maxwell series by David Baldacci) but having numerous characters with different voices by different actors would be far too expensive. Although I agree with you, it would be awesome
There is a company, Graphic Audio, that makes audiobooks of that quality. With a full voice cast and sound effects. The price of course reflects this but it really is an amazing experience. I would highly recommend their audiobook version of The Stormlight Archive by Brandon Sanderson.

No. Lots of history was written by the losers: - Thucydides, whom many claim is the first official historian, wrote about the Peloponnesian War, in which his side, Athens, was defeated by Sparta - Xenophon, another very early Greek historian, wrote "Anabasis" about how a Greek army failed to defeat Persia and was wiped out - The Jews time after time in the Bible wrote how they were defeated by all sorts of kingdoms - Josephus, a Jew, wrote about how the Romans successfully defeated a Jewish Rebellion and destroyed the Jewish Temple (the Romans hardly wrote about the event at all) - When the Huns were taking over the Roman Empire, it was Roman historians who were writing about it, not the illiterate Huns - The History of the Vikings were largely written by Europeans who were decisively attacked by them … never by the Vikings themselves - The West lost all but one of the Crusades (just the first one) in the Middle East, but most of what we know about it come from the histories written by the westerners who lost it - The Mongols, who created the largest land empire of all time, never wrote anything down about themselves … the people they conquered did - The British have written copious amounts on the Hundred Years War which they lost - The accounts of the Fall of Constantinople were written by Greeks who fled from the city when it was captured by the Ottoman Turks - The Iroquois Confederacy successfully exterminated the Huron Tribe and the European missionaries allied with the Hurons … but it was the missionaries who wrote the history, whereas the Iroquois didn't write a thing - Tons of history have been written about the American Civil War by Pro-Confederate Southerners - Most history written about the Vietnam War were written by American Historians

45:13 "House Baratheon owed its very existence to the Targareyns. Was it not the Aegon the dragon himself who elevated the bastard Orys Baratheon in the War of Conquest?" I've heard it being said that in the final season of GOT we'd get to see history repeat itself. Since Gendry is the only living Baratheon left what if Daenerys legitimizes him? It might be impossible since it was his father who killed her brother but it is still something cool to think about (it could possibly be Jon too if he's only king. Stark/Baratheon friendship and all that.) The bastard Gendry carrying on the Baratheon name.....
I love the little personal details in these lore videos. Like Tywin’s belief “chaos benefits no one”. We all know that opinion is neither universal nor true. Or Robert’s rhetorical question to Ned “is it a crime to wipe out a family of lunatics born of incest?”. Ned’s choice to warn Cersei before he informs Robert of her children’s true paternity proves his answer is *yes*

These GOT lore breakdowns are easily the best bonus content for media that I've ever encountered. The fact that you have the actors recounting the stories in character and the awesome visuals are impressive enough. But then seeing these all in sequence, you realize that the various lore bits that they hone in on in are actually built off of references in episodes of that season, not unlike footnotes in actual book, which come fully back around to the richness of GRRM's universe in the series. The best kind of cross-marketing, the only example of it that doesn't make me cringe.

Commander Havock him being king makes literally zero sense , the three eyed raven goes against the faith of the seven , nearly all the lords dont even know who Bran is , other than he was born a trueborn son of Ned Stark
I love Tywin’s line “Chaos benefits no one” in stark contrast to Littlefinger’s “Chaos is a ladder”. Those with money and power want peace so things stay the same. Those without need chaos for a chance to improve. It’s a cool difference

Respect for my man Viserys. People like to say he was a child and so fourth, but imagine knowing that your whole family was slaughtered... to know your baby cousins were beaten against the wall and their heads exploded, to know your aunty was raped and your uncles killed. He was also the head of the most legendary bloodline of all human history being the midway point between old valeria, and of the present day. People will always say he deserved the melted molten gold “crown” that savage poured upon his head but to those who remember the 7 kingdoms were forged through Fire and Blood.
What an amazing narration, all the characters fit perfectly to their role and having them narrate these scripts as they do really demonstrate talent more than profession. They are so admirable. Thanks for the upload
Robert's hatred for the Targaryen's was so unequivocal that he forgot that he's a Targaryen himself, though he did use it to justify his right to the Iron Throne.
King of Gotham it's still rumor if Ors Baratheon, Robert's ancestor and Aegon the conquerors close friend had Targaryan blood but Roberts paternal grandmother was a Targaryan.
I gotta say they are doing a superb job narrating with so much feeling. I lurve it! Especially Robert , Tywin, and Dany's brother who's name I cannot spell correctly without looking it up lol
What Robert did in the past was noble but innocent blood was spilled in the rebellion Ellia was still a Martell by name but she was murdered because she was married to her unfaithful husband Rhaegar and her children killed because they were born half Targaryen they didn't deserve that. Ned should've knocked more sense into that bloated stag but Robert is stubborn and foolish to what his actions had caused. Now he's dead and is probably turning over in his grave for being used and fooled by the Lannisters.
Megan McDonald What Torren Stark did was noble. When Jamy Lannister stabbed the mad king to save the people of Kings Landing was that noble. But I am not so sure about Robert.
But wasn't Tywin the one who gave the Mountain the order to kill Ellia and her kids? Robert wasn't in Kingslanding and had nothing to do with the slauthering. Hard to blame him for the sins of others.
Megan McDonald that is not why Tywin had them killed. He ordered Armory Lorch and Gregor Clegane to kill them because Tywin intended for Cersei to marry Rheagar and instead he married Elia. He took it as a slight and decided to punish her and her children. It was a lesson to any who would dare to turn down a marriage pact with his daughter.
that's the bit that i never understood. Cold, calculating Tywin ordered the slaughter of Elia for what? Just to royally piss off the Dornish? Revenge? For what, Elia was innocent, it was Aerys and Rhaegar who refused to marry Cersei. the killing of Elia always seemed to me a bit of a stretch. As a warning and lesson for anyone who refuses to marry his daughter? What kind of warning is that? "marry my daughter or i'll stab you in the back when it's obvious you're losing". Cersei was the best pick left for Robert anyway, she was the only one of such a rank with the right age, and not bethroted to anyone ( remember, Lysa was bethroted to Jon Arryn, Catelyn to Ned Stark, Margaery was a newborn, Arianne was 10 years old, and all of the sisters of the Lords Paramount were old or married ). So what exactly did Tywin accomplish with that? A pointless warning to marry his daughter ( i don't even think Robert was any bit grateful for her death. Her children? sure. But her? ). On the downside, he got ( another ) Great House and the whole of Dorne to hate the Lannister's guts. Seems pretty unwise to me.

I listen to these videos while playing World of Warcraft. The best.
Mark Addy's voice though....GODS what a voice !
It’s sad that these are not included on the new 4K version released awhile back. These really bring to life the tv show.
tfw you realise every character narrating this is dead except for Bran
Thomas Mitchell HES KING NOW WHATRE YOU TALKING ABOUT
Commander Havock him being king makes literally zero sense , the three eyed raven goes against the faith of the seven , nearly all the lords dont even know who Bran is , other than he was born a trueborn son of Ned Stark
He died in that cave
Bran is dead as well, he died in that cave beyond the Wall. It's the three eyed raven now.
@@commanderhavock6450 not in the books. Only on that horrible, piece of shit show.
I didn't know the existence of these videos. Now that the season is over, I have something to watch!
I love how all the characters have a different perspective on certain events.Just like in real life.
Lmao Viserys takes sm proud in his Targaryen ancestors history I kinda miss him now
I just love these little stories. They are very calming when i am feeling anxious.💗💗💗😢
Same
These stories are better than anything in the show after season 4.
I could listen to Tywin Lannister shitting on the night's watch for days😂
😂😅
This right here breaks down so much & tells everyone's side of there stories glad I found this
Come on! Add captions for deaf people! We watch this show too!
I love Tywin’s line “Chaos benefits no one” in stark contrast to Littlefinger’s “Chaos is a ladder”. Those with money and power want peace so things stay the same. Those without need chaos for a chance to improve. It’s a cool difference
I could literally listen to Robert Baratheon talk all day about literally anything
Which house do you support?:o
The only YT videos I have watched over and over🤷🏾♀️ ❤❤❤❤❤🇬🇧
robert baratheon's voice is great 55:05 "it was waaar" :D
I find these GoT lore videos are eerie yet relaxing. These are amongst my favourite videos to watch to help me be calm and chill when anxiety and insomnia strikes. Thankyou for these videos, I love them ✌
Torrhen Stark did the right thing
I’ve been ill in bed and these vids have saved me I love them thank you and more more more
Hope you're feeling better
I could listen to Robb Stark's voice for hours
Respect for my man Viserys. People like to say he was a child and so fourth, but imagine knowing that your whole family was slaughtered... to know your baby cousins were beaten against the wall and their heads exploded, to know your aunty was raped and your uncles killed. He was also the head of the most legendary bloodline of all human history being the midway point between old valeria, and of the present day. People will always say he deserved the melted molten gold “crown” that savage poured upon his head but to those who remember the 7 kingdoms were forged through Fire and Blood.
the valyria sounds like rome to me lol great civilization
then ending up falling like they all do
whitewolf676 lul 🤣
whitewolf676 It seems like a combination of Damascus and Atlantis to me. Maybe a few other things as well.
Pompeii
DeathSoldier32 IA aye youre right
whitewolf676 more like sparta and athens
Great narration by King Robert !!
"In the dawn of Westeros... there were only the children of the forest."
This isn't entirely correct, there were also the giants.
It's still rumour that the Baratheon's have Targaryan blood until it's confirmed.
King of Gotham it's still rumor if Ors Baratheon, Robert's ancestor and Aegon the conquerors close friend had Targaryan blood but Roberts paternal grandmother was a Targaryan.
But not by blood, not yet confirmed at least.
King of Gotham Rhaelle Targaryen, daughter of King Aegon V Targaryen, was Steffon Baratheon's (Roberts, Stannis & Renly's father) biological mother.
So either way the Baratheron's have Targaryen blood, damn.
Wow these are all off the characters real voices! Love it!
Given everything we've seen since season one, it's interesting that Bran talks of the children of the forest.
Awww. Bran's voice sounds so sweet!
This is great! Thank you very much!
I gotta say they are doing a superb job narrating with so much feeling. I lurve it! Especially Robert , Tywin, and Dany's brother who's name I cannot spell correctly without looking it up lol
@Punchy what's your point?
I thought this was my other comment 🤣🤣
You know, Brandon probably could have used his feet to grab that sword; boy would I love to see the mad king's face if that happened.
Oh 🐵 toes lol
I thought the same!
Thanks for the upload! Every time I watch S1 it amazes me how the actors have grown... Really fits their characters too.
I really like the illustrations and of course, the awesome story telling! The artist draws lovely hands I notice and faces, lovely
46:20 Viserys: LIES lmaooo
Lovleen
He’s not wrong though; at least not entirely.
I always really hated Robert Baratheon, he's an angry idiot i was so happy when he died. Lyanna would have never loved him.
Megan McDonald
What Torren Stark did was noble.
Seems pretty unwise to me.
thank you for organizing all 8 seasons of the histories !
This is amazing!!!!! I'm so glad I discovered this.
Love listening to these before bedtime. Helps me sleep :)
Amazing how the last few seasons of GOT FORGOT ALL ABOUT THESE VIDEOS!
I love the way each character reads about the same event with their own perspective!! My favorite is Robert Baratheon! He is a king!
These histories are now officially better than the farce of a TV series!
😔😔😔
Top notch, he should be narrating the audio books
