I'm glad your giving some exposure to this great game! One way to make the game easier is to start at one wave less (for zombies). Also, as a tip, it is important to scout when you play Safe House to make your deck bigger and avoid having too many Zombie cards in your hands! I hope you'll keep trying and enjoy the wonderful expansion!
Thank you so much for watching and for the tips. I'm definitely realizing now that I'm underutilizing the Scout and Retrieve actions. Definitely going to try that more next time. 🙂
It really is quite fun and challenging. I need to get better at scouting and retrieving to give me more options and a larger deck. Thanks for watching!
Never heard of this one. Looks cool, and I'm guessing inexpensive 🤞. When I get this I'll revisit this vid for sure. Your playthroughs are invaluable! BTW - the dome is lookin good 👍 Feels good too, doesn't it?!
Haha, thank you so much! Yes, nice and cool. As for the game, I think it cost me $20 for the base and $20 for the expansion. Or something close to it. Definitely a good amount of play for the money.
I love this game but yes, it's pretty hard! Really enjoyed this playthrough and that you tried twice, I've lost uncountable times so I get the feeling! And this reminded me I still have to try the expansion!
I printed the Calvin & Hobbes retheme of this game but I haven’t had a chance to play it yet. I don’t care for this art at all so I think that theme will be much better.
Thanks for your tutorial. It helped me learn the game. It appears there is a lot of randomness in it, and a bad draw can make you lose the game, but I still enjoy it.
Yay finally my number one game of all time is played. Can't wait for the expansion to be played As for the characters: 1. You can pnp 3 more characters 2. Adam is the best character in my opinion, the free buy from the pile is op as he'll
Aw, you're so cute! And so fresh and clean and... well, great decision. Now about the game, what do you think about the replayability? What other games would you compare this to?
Thank you so much 😊. There is a ton of replayability in this game. I think it cost me $20, and I've already played it at least 10 times. The dozen scenarios and multiple characters all offer a lot of varied gameplay. Each scenario really requires you setting up your deck and defenses differently to match the challenge. As for what I'd compare it to? That's a tough one. You'll find familiarity with the deckbuilding, if you've played other deckbuilders. I don't know if there is another game with enough similarities to compare. The fact that your enemies are shuffled in your deck and the way you play and prepare cards both set this game apart as something unique to offer to the deckbuilding genre.
As far as replayability... I played the base game 65 times before getting tired of it. Just got the expansion and I'm now at 85 plays! The expansion scenarios feel even more different and it brings a complete new special deck to scout!
I play solo and only solo and just subscribed to your channel 🙂. Btw: Played the first A and B but C is phew 😂 I couldn't get a safe place even though I I somehow managed to save 6 Survivors 😥 I used Adam and tried not to keep adding zombies but preferred killing them instead because of the accumulation is far more likely to come back and finish Adam off 😂 Anyway, liked your video. Thanks from the U.K..
Thank you so much! Glad to know you and have you here. I do hope you continue to enjoy this great hobby we share. I'm glad you enjoy After the Virus. I definitely need to be better at gearing up (scouting and retrieving). Such a fun game though. I'll record a playthrough of the Long Cold soon. Thanks for watching!
Forgot to ask: why do you use the Safe House without paying one card ? I thought that you but the card and keep it then use it each time you want to rescue the survivor(s). Gosh, have I played it wrong in my first two scenarios ? Thanks.
Rules question : are you sure you need to put just one zombie when you play solo? I put 3 cuz that's what I thought and got stuck for a long time in 2b mission
This is the second video I've seen saying that this game is good/fun and the only flaw is the cover art. I agree, the cover art isn't great. But all of the big head art on the cards look bad too. Now that I've seen the game played I don't see why anyone says this game is great. I'd give it 4 out of 10 stars.
Love the game but sold it due to the atrocious artwork. When the expansion came out I bought it again. The game is great fun but it is uglier than a rotten corpse...

After the Virus looks like a fun game. I can see the tug of war between saving Survivors and dealing with the Zombies.

Ps: would love to see you play the expansion!
Thank you so much! Glad you enjoyed the playthrough and that you enjoy playing the game. Next time I need to gear up early in the game.
Yup, definitely planning on it. Maybe sooner rather than later 😁
@@tabletopforone cool!!

Oh yeah, that sounds like an amazing retheme! I hope you enjoy it when you play it.
Nice tutorial and hair cut 😸
Haha, thank you very much!
That was entertaining and informative Ty ❤
Could you do a after the virus the long cold tutorial/ playthrough
Absolutely. I am already planning on that. I have a few projects in line right now, but I'll try to get that one done soon.

I'll have to try Adam out. The next time I go to my printer, I'll print out the other characters. Thanks for watching!

Yes, 1, 2 , or 3, if playing 1, 2, or 3 characters.
Just ordered this one, but I heard an another video that even the developer only wins about 3/5 of the time. It is challenging but quick at least.
Yup, very quick and a good challenge for sure. I hope you enjoy it!
