Great day out there, Bryan. Looked like you guys had lots of fun. I did the Lake Simcoe rental once and never again. I bought my own shelter and fished in comfort for all types of fish including steelhead. Next year I can take you out.

Good point! Besides the shelter, what else should I get? I'm thinking bare essentials for now.
@@BryanWentFishing For me, a fish finder is crucial. It shows you depth, but also when fish are coming and depth they are swimming at. I have the Hummingbird Helix 5 which you can use out on a boat or you can transfer to ice fishing mode. You can also get a Garmin which also is good. As for tackle, it’s simple if you fish for steelhead, pike and panfish. For lake trout and whitefish, Andrew is more experienced on those species.

What hut rental did you use?
