Hey there, Yes, you have the option to scan to email, google drive, evernote, dropbox, onedrive, onenote, sharepoint folders, etc! You can do all of these without the pc, however it must have a Wi-Fi connection.
@@joietan7983 yes, after you press scan, it gives you the multiple options. if you select scan to email, you can just type in the email and it will send.
It's really not complicated. Just follow on screen directions and you'll pretty much be fine. You download the app on your computer too and when you put in your wifi, everything should be set.
Non-stop problems with this printer. It's always saying offline even when it is printing. Also sometimes without me doing anything to it it stops printing and then prints when I restart my computer.
sorry just seeing this. are you still getting that message? sometimes it helps to open up the scan from the brother iprint&scan app on the computer and press scan from there, i think that happened to me sometimes as well, probably a glitch. so to avoid that i put whatever i need to scan and go to computer to initiate it.
Hey! I am not experienced with using parchment paper, however I do not recommend using it with this printer. Here is the list of papers you can use with this printer. support.brother.com/g/b/faqend.aspx?c=us&lang=en&prod=mfcl3770cdw_us_eu_as&faqid=faq00000080_042
My recommendation is not to update the firmware. All that it does, is to remove support from third party cartridges, so you'll find yourself stuck with buying the official ones only.
Really? Any documentation on this? Brother is known to allow 3rd party cartridges and there is a HUGE market for it ... are you certain this is true? Post some links please.
@@AlTheEngineer that's what current users are saying in forums. They have learned it the hard way. You are welcome to try by yourself if you want. I just can't risk it.
Can this model scan to email server directly without a pc ?

Oh no! That sounds frustrating, do you have windows?
I go to scan like I normally do I it gets it keeps saying after it’s almost done my scanner timed out
How are you choosing to scan? Scan to email, scan to ftp server or scan by using the brother software from pc?
i can't get mine to turn on, what is the problem?
I would take cord out and reattach after 30 secs, try different outlet/make sure outlet is powered.
