The only recent CoD game that had a single player campaign I didn't like was WWII. Stiles and Aiello don't get any character building moments until half way through the game and even then they're very minor, by the end of the game they're still so forgettable. And Pierson is a hardass for no reason than to be a hardass. I also didn't like how the whole campaign was just the US Army First Infantry Division. We already had a game about them. It was called Call of Duty 2: Big Red One. It had much more memorable characters and even more level variety! And it was two generations before CoD: WWII! Some characters in WWII were basic carbon copies of the ones in Big Red One. Zussman is Bloomfield, Stiles is Kelly (but vastly inferior), and Pierson is Denley and Hawkins with every appealing quality about them removed. I feel the campaign had such potential. My favorite thing about it was the audio and animations. The guns sounded like they actually had some oomph to them and the explosions sounded spot on! And the smoothness of the movement and reload animations was superb! I also loved how there was finally a WWII CoD game where the enemies didn't have to take at least two hits to kill every time! All this being said, I had no hope for the multiplayer. Call of Duty games Modern Warfare onward, with their infamously small maps, smaller than any in the very original Call of Duty, were never going to appeal to me.

I played Ghosts just by playing it. But the second moment I played it I was putting attention to the story, and then I understood and litetally got surprised why he was bad. (Cliché but good.) And so, I think Ghosts it's a good game, with the campaing and the other modes.

1:42 first time playing this as a Kid, I thought this was the biggest fail I've ever seen, legit thought it was supposed to be some kind of "SURPRISED MOTHERFUCKERS!" fail since it got rekt by the enemy tanks. To give some fair points to it, now reviewing this scene from a more mature mind. Iron Horse 2 still got the job done despite being knocked out upon engagement, they took out one of the Federation Tanks but their job wasn't to engage and destroy but to get Rorke and his team out of the line of fire. I have much to recover on the CoD Ghosts Storyline but I'm finding it hard to figure out why the US Military would sacrifice a Tank for a Spec-Ops team other than the fact that Rorke's Team is apparently on a very crucial mission.
The idea for ghost 2 is not bad. In fact, is one of the greatest idea ever imagine this the protagonist of the first game gets captured, gets brainwashed and becomes the villain for the next game and then the next game you play as a new protagonist and you have to fight the old protagonist of the first game that would’ve been an interesting idea. Sadly, the story of the main game was so nonsense that will never get the idea greenlight because of that.
What doesn't help is that Logan is a total mute. So no matter what in the next game he'd be a whole different character. IDK why they stuck their guns on that even into MW2 and MW3. But it makes even less sense for Ghosts. It would have really paid off to have Logan grow with Hesh as a character. Even if canonically he's Hesh's protective shadow.
Only things I love about this game:
1) Extinction mode.
2) introduction of many non-US/Russia/European firearms.
