One of the real characters of racing, never tire of listening to him. When he refers to the 'noise' at racing he is right. Nothing like being on the rails or at the last fence
I could listen to MP all day, he is a wonderful story teller. Such an intelligent, interesting and entertaining man. I think I've watched this 3 times now.
"An audience with" SMP programme would be a treat. To think C4 fired the old Morning Line, line up, on which SMP was a regular guest, and replaced them with Clare Balding and the same presenters that got racing cancelled on the BBC.
Sir Mark always limited himself to just 50 horses but for that he would have had classic wins at some point , probably THE shrewdest trainer in England always thinking 5 steps ahead, Last Second was beaten a neck not a short head Sir Mark........and watching the replay on youtube i have to say was comfortably beaten into second spot never looked like winning
I always struggle with the idea he has blue blooded animals and they win 5/6 in a row raising from a rating of 60ish to mid 90s and they always go off heavy odds on. What’s the point? The only one I can see is more winners for him in the trainers table
@@jameslonsdale6113 irrelevant. There’s not another trainer that has horses bought for over 100k that start handicapping in their 50/60s to progress to being in their 90s. My points valid. And I’d be surprised if there will ever be another trainer on the flat that does that again
Is it really a good idea for ATR to be giving publicity to somebody who admits he gets pleasure out of seeing animal cruely in these post-Elliott, post-Panorama days? The racing authorites are desperately trying to convince the general public that everybody in racing is a kind-hearted animal-lover who wouldn't harm a fly, so giving air-time to a hare courser who says his three great passions are coursing, cock fighting and bull fighting seems unwise!

He should write a book on his life. Would make a great read.

Great vid. Could have done with another hour. Cattermole should have asked him about the bullfighting
Way too short. Is there a part two?

Proud to enjoy bull fighting and greyhound coursing obviously a man who likes animals.

You have obviously never owned a horse.

A blot on the integrity of racing
Harsh on Cattermole

Don’t agree , but always nice to hear from an anti- abortionist.
Luckily we live in a country that if don’t want to watch something you don’t have to.
Gordon Elliott sits on one dead horse as is vilified then banned; this man is an "aficionado" of bullfighting and we celebrate him?
You don’t like mince beef?
You’re right Gordon should never have been treated like that, it wasn’t fair
MP has done more for animal "welfare" .. than you can even begin to comprehend ...or ever will do in several lifetimes.
Woman stay mute
He's as bent as they come
