I don’t understand the surron laws, I’ve read the laws and it definitely isn’t classified as an E-bike but a e-motorcycle I assume. But I don’t even think you can register it with a plate so can I still ride in the road with no trouble or can I even be on a sidewalk??
That's a good question. I can't say I'm an expert on the laws, but it's definitely a grey area. They are not classified as an ebike based on the 3 classes of ebikes. But as you stated in many states you cannot register them as a motorcycle either because motorcycle classifications are ofyen based on CC's. I think this is a case were the technology outpaces the laws. Untill the laws catch up all I can recommend is to be careful when riding one of the electric motorcycle style ebikes. Maybe try to keep them below the 28mph limit of class 3 ebikes as to not draw the attention of the police in your area.

If the bikes goes 35mph, is it considered an e bike ??
