As an Android user, who both loves and hates his phone, and who has no storage, because I take too many pictures, I can relate.

???? what are you even on??? androids accept micro sd cards for storage, apple products dont.
i'm on iphone now but this still applies bc i take a ton of photos, get google photos if you haven't by now, make sure everything is backed up, then go to the utilities page in library, and click clear up space. it will delete every photo from your phone, but they will all still be in the photos app and you can download certain ones if you need them. freed up like 50gb of photos/videos on my pixel doing this, and imo even if you need to pay it's worth the 20$/year.

Even better it's actually pretty small considering I hate gigantic phones (If I need a bigger device, I rather pick a tablet instead of getting a 6 inch phone)
Also, I picked a phone for usability, storage and price rather than getting a phone to make me look cool just because my friends use them. I'm definitely not one of those people.

i had a love hate relationship with my pixel, loved the software but it was also buggy at times and performance was great in apps and the main OS, but it couldn't play games well, so ended up switching to iPhone, as the main reason I was on pixel was because samsung and other androids are too bloated.

I used a Samsung till the pixels no longer worked on the screen. Then I got a new Samsung and everything was alright. Old one was and still is a tank though, with the case too.

My grandma keeps an old flip phone bought around when it came out, its old but the cover is a pretty red and it's not slow at all, I'm glad she kept it because if I ever travel to an unsafe place, I would bring that phone instead of the good phone, old flip phones don't break easily either, it would act like a reassuring weapon
My substitute teacher still uses one and he seems to prefer it just fine. I actually told him to keep using flip phones because smartphones are pretty hard to deal with especially for someone with a complete lack of technology knowledge.

I had a Samsung GS7 edge for 8 years before I just NOW upgraded to my iPhone Pro a few months ago. It was a learning curve, let me tell you. Also, growing up in the 90's we had a wall phone with a cord. I clearly remember doing the twirly thing with the cord and my finger while I chatted with friends.

My Iphone7 has been with me for five years I expected it to last 3 but I might have bought finest of the finest screen protectors (only two of them) optimized for how I usually drop it, rarely in concrete were in those 5 years.
This phone probably has longer lifespan as the other Iphones when this were brand new or even the newer ones.
Even teached me that things last when taken care of.
For real I’ve had mine for 5 years also and It just hasn’t broken. I swear the Iphone7 is just almost indestructible.

Like game crash, RAM issues (when I'm using one app), and can't able to use some apps because a few of them works on older phones and most of them only works on the newer ones.

I prefer phones with auxillary jacks bc maybe when ur on a long trip and your airpods run out of charge and you need to charge it, bring a spare wired earphone or headphone to use in the meanwhile it charges.

Samsung is expensive because 100x zoom, 200mp, OneUI, Spen, 120hz, Fingerprint display, 8K video, Reverse Wireless charging, better video Stabilisation, 1440x3088 pixels, 5000mah, Type-C fast charging and Dual Sim.
Apple: We don't have all of that but we have an Apple logo in the back. So it's worth more than the samsung one.

A easy way to get pop sockets off is just use a credit card or something like a credit card and just slip the card under it and it’ll pop off
I had the same phone from 2013 to 2020. Samsung galaxy s4. It still runs, although it needs to be charged once a day. I dropped it few times and have few dents in it but never as much as scratched the screen protector on it. Reoved the screen protector short time after getting a new phone.I plan to use this one for a very long time, samsung galaxy A 71. For at least 4 more years. I read novels on the phone in epub. I don't really need a super phone. Maybe I buy an actual e-reader some time in the future for fun. Screens cant get any larger than they are now without it becoming a tablet and I dont really game on it. There needs to be some pretty big change to phones for me to want to get a new one, like Linux being on phones or phones being stronger by an order of magnitude or maybe a dual screen phone but it needs to be even better. Otherwise there is just no motivation for me.
One of these days, a phone should be released that can connect to a monitor and run PC apps. And I'm not talking about the Samsung Dex. I'm talking about a fully fledged PC inside a phone. :)

I'm not sure how long an A71 will last you, as the battery won't be the best and software updates from Samsung WILL bog it down, but I'm glad you're happy with your choice

Motorola User here. I think they have the best overall phone when it comes to Android (for the price). I have owned 2 of them, and have loved both dearly.
I recently shifted to an iPhone 13 mini (My first iPhone btw). I only did the shift because I wanted a device compatible with my MacBook. I was only going to iOS for the Mini specifically. It's closer in size to my 1st Motorola Smartphone, but has the same hardware as regular iPhone 13. I love it since now, even if the battery is not the best. I bought it specifically to reduce my Screen time (even tho I was a Moderate user). It's the phone that Steve Jobs would have wanted to make.
I still have my Motorola, and use it as my secondary device. I love shifting back and forth between that and the mini. You get used to the Compact size of the mini after a while, and it doesn't feel like how it felt "for the first time". But by shifting between devices, I get to enjoy that feeling repeatedly.
I'll switch back to Android if there isn't a Compact iPhone within the next 4-5 years.
