The legend says they are still there today. That was painful to watch, wrong equipment, no idea what they were doing and badly executed. It was almost like it was their first time dealing with water logged material.
Watching things get cleaned spotlessly by experts is one of the most satisfying types of videos out there. In that regard, viewing this video came completely without any form of satisfaction.
My stomach started growling, and NO JOKE I thought it was the duck for a few moments. i thought, WHAT KIND of duck is that. Then I realzied it was me. Anyhow, ole ducky eating some shit there alon gthe banks. MMMMMM
Wherever this muck wound up and after all the chunks of metal and debris are removed the grass is the greenest it has ever been and the plants are glorious. Here in Arizona, USA we have a very extensive system of water canals. They are about thirty meters wide and are cleaned regularly. The material moved is mostly dirt and silt. It is trucked directly to the farmers who spread it on the fields. This is tough on fish living in them but great for the crops. The big canals bring our water from the Colorado River. That river is a three hour drive from Phoenix at a constant 75 miles per hour or around 230 miles away. It passes across desert 🌵 and during cleaning the sand is simply deposited aside the canal. It is up to 70 meters across. To get over the occasional mountain the siphon system is used. This was discovered by the Romans centuries ago and works here today.
Et oui c'est la France 2 mois et demi de papareasse 1 semaine d'apéro et 3 jours de boulot ,on est mort les chinois de tapent sur le ventre de voir notre façon de travailler.
I would have expected that in 28+ minutes they would have removed all the bikes, buggies and the bathtub but all they accomplished was to move some sludge around and that was all on the mini-excavator driver the white tractor was as useless as mirrors on a lawn mower. Perhaps he's the mayors nephew.
This is all for show, someone somewhere can say “look at us , see how much we did.” This is why most city’s hire contractors to handle big jobs. They are paid by the job not the hour.
they should engage companies that clean out the reactors of biogas power plants. those silos end up with tons of sediment, same as that canal. those companies use suction excavators to get the stuff out and skidsteers to loosen it inside the silo.
Guy in the white John Deere is worthless. Takes half of a day to hook up. Takes a break. Turns around and moves 7 meters. Takes a break. Move 7 more meters. Takes a break. Has done zero actual work. He might be from the U.S.A.’s FBI or Congress, they both just stir things up and rarely clean things up.
Hey! It's a white tractor! Get it? Do you know how badly mud and sht shows up on a white tractor? Man! The guy driving it has to wash it if it get's dirty. There is no fk'n way he's gonna' get it dirty! Besides- his gurl is watchin'. Gotta' look good for his gurl!
@@southernwulf530 Really? Americans don't half-ass? Some don't but, there are plenty that do. Congress. The FBI. Detroit City Council. All the non-handicapped men below 65 years old on Social Security Disability. The dude that you work with that you bitch about. We used to limit half-ass workers from continuing in their jobs by firing them. Now we have to be careful about their poor, little, sensitive feelings.😒
@@AnthonyBennettKY An American comment here Let me tell you something about one of those men under 65 and drawing what he worked for and that man is my father he worked completely non-stop for 52 years he's only 59 today he only got 4 hours of sleep a day he worked 3 jobs 2 full time and he raised me my brother and 2 sisters he was medically retired 3 years ago o and he cannot stand it he wants to work but can't get hired on anywhere because he is medically retired but I guarantee you he would work circles around you and another 100 men so just because we Americans draw our little to no social security, disability, and our medical payments don't mean where lazy it just means we put in our time so put in yours and SHUT THE FUCK UP
what the hack are they doing?? Nothing makes sense It makes me wanna cry so unprofessional And I know they will be company's colours, but you don't paint a John Deere white !!
We can see the effectiveness of the town employees. Ion particular for the guy on the white tractor; This guy does not have a clue of what he has to do, so he stands up from his seat and sit back again and again ...... 51 times. very cost effectivefor the taxes payor. indeed ! A real sad joke.
Wow, misuse of equipment. How about creating an open end bund area for the grab. Then push the material into the bund and give him something to go at. Get a loader or two in and use these to push the material into the bund. The mini excavator should only be used to get into those hard to get to places. This would save time and money
You can definately tell that the French work by the hour instead of the job. Any efficient company would have had put in 5 or 6 tractors and had several excavators and a fleet of dump trucks standing by.
I'm guessing it will take about 100 years to complete... but, since it will have been filled in several times before completion, I'm not sure what this all means. There are many mysteries in life and this is one of them.
Water jets and sludge pumps would be faster, use the water from the canal on the other side of the lock, jet and pump the slurry into trucks to haul away. Dump into a drying basin or pump across screens to filter trash out. Use the dirt for fill, water collected through sand filtration and returned to the canal or let evaporate.
Much like the UK, too many chiefs saying what to do, not enough Indians, - (no one doing it), - as we say. All look and no work. Still It wouldn't be the French unless they made an easy job difficult. lol.
Looks like the white JD is acting as a backstop while the mini clears a path for the water to drain. Notice how he continual positions himself downstream from the mini.
Get multiple loaders to do a side by side push, then put in into a pile so it can be grabbed and put into the truck and a vacuum truck to pick up the mud at the end
Apparently after liberating Paris in ww2 we should have left a couple Iowa farm boys behind to show them how to operate a tractor ! How many times is he going to adjust his seat open and close the windows !
I can’t help but wonder how anything gets done like this...we would have fired white tractor guy and put a crew in there with loaders and kept that excavator loading the trucks busy. I guess they don’t have hurricanes there.
I find it interesting, but, they seem to struggle to get started. Then, finally, the bucket begins to scoop, but The Video Image Distorts Badly all around the moving bucket, total mind ache, head ache to watch. But, later that distortion lets up. In the beginning, my thoughts, Taxpayers are paying for the project because nobody seems motivated to work. But, thanks for the upload, it is definitely interesting to watch.
that person operating that equipment in the beginning really needs to quit and go back to running a hand held shovel. he sure cant back up to that blade
To clean the channel faster and better. You have to lower tippers to the channel 1 loader on rubber wheels 1 Bobcat. And on the street a crane and trucks to carry the dump trucks.
Very Pain full to watch bloody tonker toy doing the work?? wears the loaders or skid steers? Tractor drivers as much use as a ripped tea bag he needs gone ASAP very long drawn out way of doing it typical French 😂
leftists, since the city hall is leftist too, goofing around with french tax payers money, and by the way parisians couldn't even name one of the machines involved , I'm getting the feel that we live in soviet russia sometimes.
And now they are on strike in 2019 because they want to raise the retirement age from 62 to 64. Most Americans would like to retire at 64 on full benefits. And 99% of the world would too. The French are communist and want to spend other peoples money. What are they going to do when they run out of other peoples money? Beg the American tax payer for money. They already are and we are tired of it.

The guy on the tractor was the worst laziest bastard going most frustrating video I’ve ever seen
20 years to clean depending on it. Worst impossible
It is immensely satisfying to watch a video about a group of highly trained and hard working professionals, however this is not one of those.
Good lord, give me a teaspoon and I’ll have the Everglades drained faster.
Bloke in the white tractor is about as much use as an ashtray on a motorbike...
That yellow one isn’t doing much
It is amazing that the world over people always chuck shopping trolleys into canals. Even if there are no supermarkets for miles.
hire the duck, he seems to be getting more done

You can tell that they work for the city no big hurry
watching this is torture, no wonder jobs like this cost so much, unbelievable
This is how you take a 3 day job and turn it into 3 months of traffic inconvenience.
I agree with you. 3 days is to fast. The Big bosses cant get rich that way.

True that these guys are milking it bad never seen something so easy look so hard
Exactly my thoughts.
The Japanese would have had that done in ten minutes. Mega resource quick end time.

I'm sure a couple of loaders or bulldozers pushing the mud to a central location would have been a faster way of doing this. Probably cheaper too...
This is all for show, someone somewhere can say “look at us , see how much we did.” This is why most city’s hire contractors to handle big jobs. They are paid by the job not the hour.
Mudlarking in a fresh emptied canal? Yes, PLEASE!!
Some vacuum tankers wild be far more efficient.
At this rate they're going to be at it for the next 20 years.
Thanks a lot for taping editing uploading and sharing.
Day 1: hook up blade.
Day 2: watch mini work.
Day 3: devize a slow plan of attack.
Day 4-30: don’t be filmed moving a single piece of material. Ololol
I agree with you guys. Even I know they got the wrong equipment. That smaller piece can work in my backyard. I know this can't be the USA.
They really need some decent sized skid steers. Would make their lives much easier
This video was a great pick-me-up. Haven't laughed so hard in a long time. These guys should slow it down a little!
Wow, they must have unlimited time and money to spend on this
In italy this job , clean canal, is done once every century years, and in many city if rain more on normal the rivers overflows.....
Dozed off for about 15 minutes, what did I miss? Oh, nothing? WOW. Guess I'll go back to my nap.
Dang hope you guys are alright after all that HARD WORK 😂😂

Bravo, and best of luck!

The duck at 9:26 is getting more work done lol
Now this has to be the best job in the world. like when the hell do we even work?
Now you see why the cleanup is so expensive. They easily could've done the job in 1 week.
So when do they start doing some sort of work?

That's what I thought, suck it up, it's much quicker an easier...
🤗
Got the same work ethics as our road crews in the USA one guy works 8 guys supervised ha ha
Much like the UK, too many chiefs saying what to do, not enough Indians, - (no one doing it), - as we say. All look and no work. Still It wouldn't be the French unless they made an easy job difficult. lol.
And that's just on the union jobs! Let the government get involved and the supervisory chain doubles.

Нам бы так очистить речку Левинку, что под окнами домов протекает. Или уже не течёт из-за застоя грязи, мусора, растений (клены, ивняк)?
Damn good parking job at 17:50 -ish
That damn goose did more work that the men.
What a backwards way to do this! Using a loader it could have been finished.
Add a small D4 dozer and it would have went quickly.
23m in and the tractor hasn't done a thing.
When you are feeding at the govt trough nothing gets done efficiently.
with a little thought and engineering I bet they could reduce the effort required. like plowing to the edge and loading into dump trucks from there
Looks like the French muppet show
Get multiple loaders to do a side by side push, then put in into a pile so it can be grabbed and put into the truck and a vacuum truck to pick up the mud at the end
Watching the guy hook up the 3 point was painful
uhh what exactly was the purpose of the white tractor?
This is a Union in action

01 / 02 /2020 -- have they finished yet -- someone is making alot of money
The USA should sale them a Industrial Hoover Vacuum Pump to suck up the mudd. It would have paid for itself in no time.
what a boring video! how much do they pay to drive a tractor! im really interested in that job!
The birds do more work than the workers
What work did the tractor driver do ?
