Good info B! An old school tip from my Pop when grinding, cutting or filing aluminum, hit the wheel or file on a bar of soap ever couple mins and stops it from clogging up with aluminum and dulling out. Sounds weird, but works like a champ especially on cutting wheels.
Good tip, they do make a specific product for this as well that usually works just a little better than soap, look up aluminum grinding wax , stuff is miraculous
Mr ironclad your a naughty man.. I have become addicted to your channel.. and in the last few weeks have just brought a pro boat 48” as a Xmas project.. just wanted the hull really and are looking to convert it to a twin setup.. I am just new to the Lipo battery technology so am after a bit of advise into the pairing of two brushless motors.. I want to run 2 x 12s..
Do you have any vids with balancing a fairly out of balance prop? Can’t seem to find one, most vids are fairly balanced props and showing the finished balanced prop but would like to see where to take off material on a pretty un-balanced prop
@ You’re the man, thx! So basically the front of the heavy blade, makes sense. Figure I need to start working on my own props to save when buying the raw props. Getting them balanced and sharpened is getting pricey lol. Plus give a little more satisfaction in prepping them as you’ve mentioned.
@VetteWay2Fast yeah, the heavy blade falls low, work the front of that blade (leading edge) Octura and tfl are the easiest props to balance, abc props or props with alot of rake are the hardest to balance imo

Oh man I'm definitely gonna try that, soap on a file that's news to me. I usually keep my files bone dry.... thanks for the tip

awes0me thanks bro always wanted to know keep up the great work
how does that 4516 prop compares to the 4514 from oxidean in the sonicwake v2? is it any better? does it keep good temperatures as well as the 4514?
@@JuanSQuiP the 4516 is extremely hot on the SonicWake with stock electronics
@@IRONCLADRC man thanks for your reply, I almost buy it. I'll go with the 4514 then, it seems like a good all around upgrade.
Does the leading edge or trailing edge have to be sanded?
@@1976gerbel basically the "front" of the prop looking at it installed on the boat. So you sharpen the front leading edge
Thanks 🙏. Love your channel ❤
Keep up the good work.
