Two-way superstar Ohtani is leading the MVP race as a DH only.

Dodgers lack in position players, were stacked with pitching....Hope Dodgers resign Teo. His vibe, energy & personality with players is great.

Think big. Wait till Tigers go 10 below 500 and make an offer for Skubal.

I agree we don’t want Pham and I certainly don’t want him taking Vargas’ roster spot which is what would happen. Vargas needs to stick as long as he’s laying well and he looks ready to stay this time.
The idea with discussing Pham is that this is the sort of trade we’d tend to make if we were going to add an outfielder. We don’t need to and it does not make sense to unless you’re adding someone who is a significant upgrade over Vargas. There idsn’t anyone available to to this.
I thought that Juan Toribio’s article was a pretty decent one, at least a more sober look at this rather than the please from drunken fans we’re seeing.
Crochet would be a nice add and especially since we can’t be that confident in MIller being that reliable this year, but the problem is, he’ll simply cost too much and there are some durability concerns for sure.
He recognizes that our bullpen is already good and while he looks forward to Kelly and Brrasier coming back, these 2 no longer look worthy of a roster spot The worst of the new guys, Ramirez, has performed much better than either of these 2 with an ERA in the 2’s rather than the 4’s.
If we add an infielder it will be to replace Biggio, and he’s not a hard guy to upgrade but who do we do it with is the question. Juan mentions that Bichette isn’t an upgrade and he’s actually a downgrade over Rojas and is barely playing better than Biggio. This upgrade would cost way too much and we don’t want to trade for help this year with someone who is playing badly this year, while we pray he can get back to form. That’s just stupid.

Can’t wait until the trade deadline passes to put an end to the never ending stream of idiotic trade proposals. This latest one I saw tonight is yet another one. Why would anyone want us to pick up Robert? One of the guys we’re supposed to give back is Pages. Then we hope Robert can start looking like he does not belong in the minors? Good grief.
The sort of trade the Dodgers might make instead is trading for Pham, but where would we put him? At this point in time, Pham would be a downgrade over Virgie who continues to look good. I can’t’ make sense of us trading for an outfielder, and we already did our pick from the garbage dump with Biggio, who belongs in the minors and that’s where he’;l be gong once Max comes back, but is filling a spot for now.
If Friedman made that proposed trade he not only needs to be fired he should go to jail for treason. I’m pretty sure he would not even make such a deal ;laying drunk on the floor with someone holding his fingers to sign,

Let’s put your theory to the test>
It’s 2024 Dodgers stadium GAME 7 of the NLCS:
9th inning, bases are loaded with 2 outs and you’re down by 1 run.
Pinch hitter, do you put Pham or Vargas in that situation?

Eight now, I’d take Vargas, but to judge this, we’d need to look at the sum total of the value of replacing Vargas with Pham and then compare it to the cost of acquiring Pham and the loss in development with Vargas. You can’t base it on an extremely low probability hypothetical alone regardless of who you prefer in this spot.
This is all predicated on Vargas’ performance though, but at the moment he looks like he’s ready to remain on the roster and contributing.

We've already discussed Pham. Pham will not be a Dodger. Pham is toxic. Dodgers are very careful to create a combination of players that are not toxic so no Pham. Time to move on.

@Team Ruiz, can you shed some light on your persistent anti-Dave sentiment? Or maybe someone else can explain it.
