Mr. Sample you have been my favorite piano player for 30 or more years and you are making that Privia sound great. I wish you would give lessons online of your style of playing. Hard Times one of my favorite song and the intro you do on the front of the song is killer.
This must be from the famous Hotel Room recording sessions. The pillows were fluffed just right to provide astounding acoustics. I'm told that if you listen carefully you can hear the ice machine down the hall on some tracks. Truly a historic recording venue.
The guy has a career in jazz. Instead of many people think, good musicians don´t have to be rich. Unfortunately, people like you probably prefer Lady Gaga, Ke$ha and other pieces of shit.
I'm a fan of Joe Sample. No disrespect to him. The video is from Casio, so I thought it was funny that it was in a hotel bedroom. The music is great, though.
You're onto something - they make great hotel room pianos when on tour, because they're so light - 26 lbs, for 88 weighted keys?! How does Casio do it! (I have two PX 330's - they feel GREAT.)
I love my PS-350! I know there's a newer model out with a touch screen, but I think the sound engine is the same. I pretty much just use the piano & Strings. Love the USB to record compositions and ideas to! The hammer action is what made me buy the 350. It's one of the best actions out there? And the default piano is great! The low end is killer, especially the fantastic bottom A! It's mighty powerful. I have a song that features that low A at the end of a run. Yes, Casio did a great job putting this keyboard out there at an incredible price! I remember the days of paying 10times that much for a digital piano. Only recommendation I have is round off the edges of the keys more. I do glissandos up and down the piano often, and those smaller radius edges are a little rough on the thumb. But... your thumb eventually toughens up.
So lovely to hear. I'll have to practice harder to catch up :-). You could have set up in the foyer of the hotel and do/get a deal on the food and accommodation.
Not a fair demo... Joe would sound fantastic on an old shoebox! Having said that, I tried the Privia's out myself and they are very nice, especially for the price.
potential buyers of this and all other digital pianos should be aware that this is only the true sound you will hear from the instrument via HEADPHONES. You are not hearing the true sound of the piano via its own speakers which will sound considerably different !!
i paid $1400 for mine. Ive played some good uprights that were in the 400 range before. If you live in a good sized city and make an effort you will find decent uprights for less than the privia.
Casio Music Gear, can you please tell me, how was made audio recording on this video? Have you use USB-flash drive and USB Audio Recording function, or did you use other method?
You guys gotta get better technical support some lady put me on hold then hung up on me, but dont worry I recorded it for my quality assurence... Turning what was a good experience to a bad one
Brujjoben: you have no clue. What store do you work at? Casio has won 3 awards from Keyboard Magazine in four years. Either you're deaf, you don't actually play, or you unable to give a product a serious listen because of the brand. Most stores don't have the PX-350 yet. I'd really love to know specifically what store you work at.
i work in a store that features the privia. The action on it DOES NOT come close to an RD 700 NX roland or anything on the CP line by yamaha. The sounds are a step up from the quality of their K mart models. Fact of the matter is; this is the best series of a terrible manufacturer.
Right. Not gonna give some guy on the internet my personal/work info. Ridiculous. Im sorry you're taking my review on the casio personally too. I would not recommend this board to anyone trying to develop proper technique. The feel and touch is just not there. If you are unable to tell the difference between this and the better products that are out there, then, well darn. Best of luck to you. I play very well and have very good ears.

I bought this keyboard, and it is very good indeed. A great pleasure to see and hear a master like Joe Sample play it. He is sorely missed.
+drbekken I am thinking to buy it recently. Can you share your price?
in Norway; about 550 USD. It had been on display in the showroom.
Thanks for your reply. Do you like it so far? That was a great deal. Hope I can find a similar one in the U.S.
Yes, I like it. The sound and touch is good, indeed.
Gary I second your sentiments His music has always been a part of my life and will continue to be.
Thanks to Joe post in this demo. It made me go out and get his music..
Oh and the PX-350 too.
Fantastic - thanks for posting!
Piano legend playing what sounds like a great new board from Casio!

Back again. Love it.
Wow the piano sound was incredible..
4:30 - one of the sweetest sounds I've ever heard
In My Wildest Dreams from his Rainbow Seeker Album.
I really enjoy your gift great inspiration
I'm getting myself a PX-750 in a few weeks, can't wait!
I have the Casio Px-3. I know, not the same piano, but I love it. Great digital piano!

Joe Sample is a Maistro on the piano

Why no MIDI out on the PX-150.... :'(

What is the best Casio and what is the best Technics? I seem to be hearing better piano from Techniques than Casio. Am I nuts?
No its not in his bedroom....
Sounds great....
Does anyone know if he's playing an actual song or just being a god? If he's playing a song, what song is it?
The song is a jazzed up version of " its a sin to tell a lie ". Checkout the inkspots singing this
looks a lot like a hotel room on the road to me
ジョー様ってピアノはヤマハだし
これはカシオ、
なんか嬉しい😃
You should have bought a V-piano
Probably...
Or you could shop around and pick up an old yamaha upright for next to nothing.
