Being patient, don't rage and don't give up is really important when you lose all your hitpoints at the start of the game... Just yesterday, I had 2 such incidents 1. type 59 is prokhorovka, I went to mid to spot at the start, but I over peek, took multiple shot immediately. I made one shot but took so many in return I became a one shot for everyone. But I didn't give up, I played carefully and rely on the team, ended up getting 2K+ damage, which is an above average game with the 59. 2. Char 4 in himmelsdorf, I went on hill, and we found that the enemy had not make it to the hill and we had numbers, so we pushed. I put one shot in, but then a Cobra showed up, he unloaded on me, I return one shot to him as I was tracked, teammates finished him off. I connected 2 shots in return of 95% of my tank and now I am a one shot. Very bad situation in a paper tank in a city map. But our team was rolling, I used my teammates as cover and try to continue playing but less aggressive. I ended up getting nearly 3k damage combined, and was the second in xp in the entire team. I think sometimes being so low on hit point forces you to be extremely calculated before making a move, usually I thought I have hitpoints, I peek, then only half a tank remained. Okay I will continue watching this tmr after work, thanks for this video. :)
Well the problem is not when you make a mistake and pay for it, the problem is when you have players that use their tanks in a wrong way but they blame you for not helping them. Light not spotting for the teammates, TD (Gonkiewicza) camping far behind others, when he is the top tier and using only 2 shells in the whole game doing 0 dmg. Another problem is when you go little bit forward to fight the enemy (1 tank with no support) but your teammates camp behind you doing nothing and you lose the fight (bad rng, lags or just rookie mistake) and then your teammates with no problem destroy the enemy tank without even moving an inch. Someone said before that this game has a one big problem and that is you having not only 15 enemy tanks in front but also 14 "friendly" tanks around you that can't or will not help you at all. That is why platooning is the best way to play. You can get players with the same or better skill then you and chances of winning the game are much higher. iyouxin in one of his videos proved that skilled players can win 90% of the games that they have and have fun doing that. I'm not iyouxin or not even close to that so for me winning something between 55% - 65% of the games instead of 45% - 55% is a great result.

my accounts rating is 4700 at the moment, it used to be 3700 almost 6 months ago, but my recent ratings daily after like 50 battles a day is 10k. it just sucks to grind to that point if you start in a really bad spot :/
right now i m grinding is 7 and obj 277 line and after the second game, i had to comment to say that is 3 is a hidden gem. today i played 6 games with it and in 4 of them i had over 3.5k damage. sometimes the gun and armour just works!
Your videos have helped immensely. Today I had a lucky streak of 15 wins in a row at 4k w8. I play a lot less games because doing your thought process is very hard to maintain for long sessions. It will be become automatic at some point but for now it's quite the brain smasher ^^
That is 60% of the WOT player base mistake, they think that this is call of duty and they have to get to the middle first, then they have no idea what the minimap is.
Key to wining any team game (or other team confrontation): teammates teammates teammates. Without superior teammates, sorry, you are going to lose more than you win. Wargaming controls matchmaking and RNG. You control where you move and where you aim and when you pull the trigger. That's it. Wargaming controls everything else.

You said, "HP are resources." We have to decide how to spend them. That is 100% correct. I now realize this after 2 years of playing. But getting hit has been one of my greatest fears. Like many people, I sat down the back, pretending to hold a flank (or some people "protect" arty). Essentially I was happy getting in one hit per game to show I contributed. But this is the worst way to play. It's not creating chances to win. The best players often lead from the front, where there are more chances to hit the enemy which results in more XP at the end of the game. I'm trying to change my mental approach to this game but it's hard after having a particular mindset from so many years of repetitive play.
@@iyouxintwitch That might be a good idea. And ... that is something many of us "weaker" players don't do. We don't play strong tanks. Many of us go for the ones we think are cool or our historical favorite when in the game they might actually be quite weak. That's another thing I need to change. Thanks for the thought.

The first think is to buy the best premium tanks in the game!!!! Buy them all and don't have any limit on spending the money! Second, use only gold ammo! Third, use only premium consumables!
I dont think it matters half the time, sure being good helps but even the best unicums lose 2-15 sometimes. You have to be in the right tank, on the right map, in the right position in order to really make a difference
U can try to play at asia server and feel the pain. They aren't help u, they are only snip, camp behide u. X5 stress when u keep play.... High winrate like a joke in that server, u need "a super good platoon" to carry winrate/pr.

Aye all good, but forgot to mention the special streamer's MM where you face only paid actors and tourists. In reality normal accounts are facing the most armored and well angled tanks at the worst positions possible.
Came back after a long while, first game in my tiger p is a tier 9 game curbstomp where a black prince and myself end up 2nd and 3rd with a measly 1.5k dmg, half my team did zero damage including our top tier heavies and tds, uninstalled at the speed of light. Much like that movie War games, in wot the only winning move is not to play.
This is bullshit, situation from today i play 12 battle with progetto 65 just one win. No matter what i do, i have 4,5k dmg per battle and still lose. When team is just sucks, only you can do is dmg and lose. No matter what you do, when mm see that you win too much other day, another day you will lose everything. I have that always, one day 30 battles 80% WR, another day 30 battles 14% WR. This is that simple. And your skill have nothing to do here.

of course it was bad aim but at the same time everything can be considered rng. the way the tank stepped up on the rocks and everything made it hard to aim for him, better rng would have meant he could have stayed motionless!
@@tudorlasus RNG is - random number generator. A player moving his tank cannot be considered bad rng and a player not moving his tank is not good rng. He was aiming and shooting under the tank.
best tactic ever is to pay wg, then you get better MM and better hidden stats on server side. its a reason why its a p2w game. To bad the youtubers dont get it;)
My biggest flaw as a wot player is that instead of waiting for enemies' mistake, I try to make plays and end up being the one committing the mistake.
Because game promotes campy gameplay in randoms and defenders have better ground to punish you.

One of the best way to improve is knowing your tank AND looking at the map often.

May I suggest a strong tank to get used to play aggressive? Chito sp. Best tank at tier 7.
