7:17 the rescue of the gray landrover is great but in my opinion, it's no worth the risk of the rope to tears and hit the people nearby... besides that great video and awesome conent!
Trucks engine had just died so it wasn't actually stuck, so very minimal strain on the rope. If he had actually been stuck we would have made sure people stood back but it was a fairly minor recovery. good to hear you are enjoying the vids!
Bruv, get some vasoline, silicon grease or normal grease and smear some around the edges of your dizy cap and plug up any breather cap when you plan on running thru any deep water. It'll help seal up any gaps and keep everything dry. You can also smear some of that around your sparkplug lead caps (both ends) and any other plug you see in the engine bay. Old trick from back into the day. Know any good spot in Hawkes bay?
Ah so this explains where all the AA members were that day haha! Great footage looks like a lot of fun! Especially liked the upside down "Bugger" bumper sticker!
Hey mate, looking at getting a v8 disco, I know it’s not something to be worried about with a v8 ahha but what type of kms are u getting out of a tank out of interest? Cheers mate love the vids!
good to see the real trucks gettin it done, didnt see one modern, common rail, ecu, full of electronic crap and sensors ranger, navara, hilux, triton, bt50, colorado. these new "trucks" hate deep water, they can only handle tarmac and gravel roads 😂😂😂😂 cant beat the old school simplicity
See if we did this in the uk we would ramblers (weirdos who go walking) and wildlife enthusiasts calling for our heads all over the media before sundown
Yea we still have to time it as to not disturb nesting birds as that is definitely not a good look but we are certainly fortunate to be able to still go out and wheel!
Yep, the deepest crossing I woulda had a couple inches of water in the floor by the end. My door seals are destroyed tho haha. It’s only when you stop that you have problems!
Jesus guys, really doing recoveries like that with the Landy pulling that guy out? while there are people with children right next to you? I mean yeah, it's all good fun... But take some notes on safety in future. 👍. Keep people away when snatching etc.
The truck in the water just had a dead engine so he wasn’t actually bogged down at all. If we were doing any snatch with a decent amount of tension on the rope I can guarantee you we would have cleared the area of bystanders and that I wouldn’t have been standing right next to it myself👍
This footage is sooo sick can’t believe how deep you guys go 😎👍
What a cool bunch of trucks. The V8 in Lando sounds good in the water..... A bit like the D44 Range Rover on Rainforest challenge

Are there any tricks/ tips you can give us to keep the ignition system dry while fording water.
Yep, sure have a few, and will be covering it all in a video soon! Little long to type out haha 👍
Good stuff from Wgtn 👍🇳🇿

If you’re not driving silly, generally about 400-450kms to absolute empty
Jesus was it new tyre day?
So excited for this
Let’s gooo!!!!
What is wrong with your rover? It sounds like shot. I have three and none sound like that.
Are all of them Japanese cars?
Did any of the wet engines suffer damage?
Haha yea a few did unfortunately
That's nuts.
Awesome!

I suspect the $50k price tag might have something to do with it too haha
@@sp4nrs some of these trucks have had 50k spent on them
This shit is fucken crazy! We have nothing like this over in Australia
Haha yea we’re pretty lucky to have rivers like these, was a crazy day for sure!!!
I was surprised to see lando is a petrol engine, same with mine.
Can’t go wrong with the ol V8!!!
How do I join??? This is where I need to be
My three year daughter says those cars can swim.

Hi Tim tam
how did you drown your truck
Just a bit of water in the dizzy, once it’s dried out it’s good as new 👍
anyone know if water gets in every truck's interior?
Depends on how deep of water you’re in and how good your door jams are
My gear stick boot not water proof.
@@jackgibbons9914 say we're in water that is a few mm higher than the bonnet, would water get in for that case? assuming door jams are solid
@@NickDavidGaming depends on how long you’re in the water for, water in your trucks not a big deal, just pull your carpets out and dry em off
Yep, the deepest crossing I woulda had a couple inches of water in the floor by the end. My door seals are destroyed tho haha. It’s only when you stop that you have problems!
dope videos Bro Keep it up !! Id be keen on a Collab some time
Cheers man! And yea I’ll be running a trip hopefully in the next couple of months so keep an eye out 👍
