    Great idea! Video uploaded Oct 2017. How are the scales holding up? What width/ length did you make the platform? You measured 7.5 inches in from outside, how far from the end of the platform? Looked like 15-18 inches. Thanks for sharing, potential to save a lot of expense.

      They still work good the only thing I would do differently is put the cables that go from the load cell to the junction box is put them in conduit or thick wall plastic pipe to protect them from getting cut or damages has it happened yet but been close lol the platform is 92x32 and the load cells are 7.5 inside from the side and 12 inside from the end

      @@Theblindfarmer thanks .. we'll be putting one together soon. Brother has wanted one for years and couldn't justify it. Your video made it possible.

    Nice scale!! Did you use one sensor or four of them (one in each corner)?

    • @Theblindfarmer
      @Theblindfarmer  5 лет назад

      One in each load cell and there’s four of them

    Nice video! Came to check you out after Brad gave a shout out over at Larsonvalleyfarm. Do you have to put this on concrete or will it work standing on dirt just as well?

    • @Theblindfarmer
      @Theblindfarmer  7 лет назад +1

      +Floyd Farms thanks for watching and according to the rep. It will work on any surface as long as it is solid like packed dirt or small pee gravel but works best on concrete and also doesn’t have to be on perfectly level ground works on uneven ground

      Smalltown Farmer88 awesome, thanks! I've been looking at loadbars for my squeeze chute, but didn't want to spend $1000 or more plus have to build a concrete slab. This would be perfect to just toss in the alley and then store when done.

      +Floyd Farms oh yea work well

    • @Theblindfarmer
      @Theblindfarmer  7 лет назад

      +Floyd Farms it’s better to store them when you are done it according to the manufacture every thing is sealed so it can be left out doors

    Nicely done! What are the weight limits on that scale? Ball park Price?

    • @Theblindfarmer

      Thats not a bad deal! My neighbor bought a off brand scale, one bad part with it is, it says to store above 40 or 50 degree's! We are in the teens to negatives all winter!

    • @Theblindfarmer
      @Theblindfarmer  7 лет назад

      +larsonvalleyfarm mine doesn’t say that but I will check into that because here is around freezing in the winter

    Hi farm 88,how are you? Does that scale works good on dally basis, how accurate is it?

    • @Theblindfarmer
      @Theblindfarmer  5 лет назад

      It does well I’m not sure on a daily basis I only use mine 10-15 times a year the accuracy is pretty good in a 500lb test or was off couple pounds

    That's cool, I've seen the old mechanical scales but they aren't real accurate, are you just gonna weigh calves with it?

    • @Theblindfarmer
      @Theblindfarmer  7 лет назад

      +storminnormanz all my livestock and some round bales to get average weight each year

    • @storminnormanz
      @storminnormanz 7 лет назад

      thats a good idea weighing bales with it, ive wanted to weigh my cows and calves both at weaning time to see which cows are the most efficient, if i had a scale i would
