I don’t understand why building of New roads, buildings, fast food outlets, and malls as referred as development
Real development is when you have good hospitals, good education, and plenty of jobs
All these development which you are talking about is only to make the rich people more richer
It has no benefit for the poor or the middle class
what about those people working on building those roads, buildings, working in fast food chains and malls? what about the number of jobs those fast food chains and malls create? what about supply and demand? good hospitals and education centres are also being built not just the commercial projects. but I respect your view of development as well
Then whats development according to you. People compare foreign with india, such that foreign has this but not in india and thus india is not gud enough.
Now, the real development is happening which will comfort people and so on. Still people dont appreciate this. What a shame
Who told you ? It's public property which is used by poor and rich....plus to go hospital and school good road infrastructure is must

Roads i agree.. but these mncs like starbucks, tim hortons- whats the use of them? People will spend on them if their salaries are increased… for that you need to bring in big factories or companies
Right now, what would be the average salary in Jalandhar or any city of Punjab? 15-20k max… if you bring a big company, then that salary will go till 30 K
Then the person will think cost spending more
Just opening these malls and outlets are only for satisfaction of rich and elite
