There is no option to upgrade pilot to be stronger. But you can increase affinity by giving exclusive gifts to your pilots. Second option will be to collect a lot of handbook to lvl up their skills but that doesn't increase their strength. Like how Ning's skill only tracks and shows you her attacker. Mobius have melee dmg boost, some pilots even have damage reduction. For mecha, collect as much proficiency chips as possible and use them to lvl up and try to unlock every tech module and build your mecha in a specific way. For example, as Michael is an assassin, I can build him for flexibility only, dmg + flexibility or anyhow I like it. Tech modules matter more than lvl up
To be honest, the game is not really difficult, it's your typical Battle Royale game, the difficult part probably is the variety of mechas to use since every mecha has its own mechanism, but there are also mecha that newbie friendly to get you through first time playing, the pilot mode on the other hand can still be manageable since it's just like other BR games, But I can assure you it's a good game and not difficult
Great game! Super clutch at the end 🎉
