I always kind of wished that more of the Sternritter played like Quilge, where it seemed like their Shrift was more of a "Quincy+" thing. They still get a new ability, but it functions more like a super advanced form of an established art.
Quilge embodied this perfectly, as his power of 'The Jail' which functions a lot like Quincy protective spells such as Kirchenlied: Sankt Zwinger. As a Quincy, his build was based around restraining opponents while sadistically whittling them down over time, and you could kind of see how his study of Quincy arts would lead him to spec himself out ike this. Similarly Giselle Gewelle's abilities of 'The Zombie' could have been seen as an advanced merging of the Blut and Rasotengai, since her blood entering the victim's body is a requirement to activate it. LIltotto, Gerald, and Shaz all could have made use of the Quincy's reishi gathering skills, but applied to their own bodies - with the former breaking down anything she consumes immediately into base particles and dispersing it, and the latter two supplement their healing abilities greatly with enhanced particle gathering to fix their wounds.
Going off of this, you could have developed a cool situation with the different combinations of Quincy skills each specialized build would have. even if two Sternritter seemed to have the same skill in general, their preferred method operation would make them still stand out a lot more. Pepe and Giselle both used body control techniques, after all, but one liked to get into the thick of things a lot more than the other, so there was a lot to play with here.

Or Bambietta being so skilled at Reishi manipulation that she can turn whatever Reishi constructs her packets touched into bombs by reverse engineering the basic technique of breaking apart Reishi bonds and gathering them as power. Also, it was shown that some Quincies can generate blue flames of condensed Reishi that can burn the otherwise noncombustible sands of Hueco Mundo, meaning their flames are much more powerful than normal flames. Would be cool if the hotheaded Sternritter (Bazz-B) who's centered around flames would instead be the best user of this technique, maybe even the pioneer.

A few things don’t make a whole lot of sense to me. I am in no way doubting the veracity of her claims, but I am having a difficult time wrapping my head around some things. If patient tries to assault you…a severe boundary is crossed and that patient is going to have to see another doctor. If a patient comes on yo you…a severe boundary is crossed and that patient is going to have to see another doctor. No court of law or medical/psychology board will ever fault you for ending a therapeutic relationship when boundaries are crossed. That is it. Full stop. End of therapeutic relationship. As soon as anything fishy happens…the session is over and you or the patient (or both) leave immediately.
In hospital settings I have entered a room when a patient is undressed and I tell them to get dressed after which I will interview them.
The first instance this happened the session should have been ended and the therapeutic relationship terminated. That’s it. End of story. Screw your contract. Screw your boss. That’s it.
So…why did anything at all go past the first encounter? What did she tell her employers? Did she say a generic “I feel uncomfortable” or “Primo showed me his PP”? After years of training she knows full well that a boundary is crossed and that therapeutic relationship is over. Even if she used a generic “I don’t feel comfortable”…that is all that needs to be said. Period. I cannot fathom how something extreme would have happened more than once if it was handled professionally and by the book on her end in the first place. However, Uyru was only ever taught by a man that choose to reject the Quincy's innovations and stick with what he already knew.
Back in the day it was probably true that they only ever used bows. But then they lost to the Soul Society in the past. So in their hiding they realized they'd need to try new things or their past defeat would just repeat itself.
Edit: Soken's pride in the tradition of only using bows prevented him from growing in power. He then taught that antiquated way of fighting to Uryu without ever even telling Uryu there was another option.

A reasonable threat, but not so much that he could solo the Gotei 13 with no challenge like some of the others could. He also expanded on the baseline Quincy abilities we had already been exposed to rather than relying solely on the hax Schrift Daddy Ywach have him. They all definitely needed to be toned down as they further invalidated characters that Kubo had already left by the wayside. It's almost the exact same way Naruto's power scaling went out of whack.

I think Kubo stepped back on most of these abilities because each battle would go the same and simply devolve into "and then the Quincy devours all life on the battlefield". Quilge was just too OP as a starter enemy, but I think he really made a great introduction to what the "new" Quincies would be: terrifyingly powerful and efficient. Quilge did so because he used an ability only available in Volsterndig, which is clearly designed to replicate the power of Letz Stil without going overboard and burning out the Quincy's powers. The reason no other Quincy used it is shown and mentioned by Quilge: using the ability taints the wings of the user and as such they are extremely reluctant to use it. I just realized that Quilge actually stalled 2 of the 5 special threats. Let me summarize his achievements:
    1. He is the only Sternritter that was given order by Yhwach to be the Executive Hunting Squad of Hueco Mundo. He clapped those arrancars and fracciones without a scratch (although they are weak so this can be debatable).
    2. He managed to overpower fullbring shikai Ichigo although with Vollstandig but it is still impressive considering that fullbring Ichigo is captain level.
    3. He proceeded to get the beat hell out of him by Ayon and literally getting pummeled like crazy. Yet he still nonchalantly got back up with broken neck and just put it back in place.
    4. He managed to absorb Ayon (a legit hollow) and merge with him via Sklaverei (he is literally the only Quincy to ever absorb hollow and doesn't get drawback from it - although it is still debatable whether it is plot hole or not)
    5. He fought fullbring bankai Ichigo (special threat) and managed to hold his ground against him (albeit getting overpowered since ichigo is also that guy). He only had small injuries due to his blut vene caught off guard by Kisuke resulted in a big ass hole in his chest. (remember when Ulquiorra "donut" Ichigo? yeah any normal person would have died unless you are Aizen who fused with hogyoku or Yhwach or Lille or Gerard which all of them are crazy mfs)
    6. He still managed to get back up with Ransotengai (a rare technique even for Quincies) and caught Kisuke (special threat) lacking and managed to trap Ichigo (special threat) with a inescapable and unbreakable sphere. He almost managed to finish off Chad and Inoue and even Kisuke beg him to stop only for Quilge to get jumped by surprise for the 2nd time by Grimmjow. He finally die after get split in two
    7. The jail still imprison Ichigo even after Quilge's death (the only Sternritter who has his schrift active after his death). Ichigo only managed to escape because he is a Quincy too (Yhwach literally said that it was his mistake to send Quilge for keeping Ichigo at bay). So Quilge actually didn't screw up but he completed his job very well even in his death
Also in the novel (?) i presume, Loly mentioned that his strength/power is comparable to Bambietta Basterbine whose schrift has one of the most firepower or destructive capability.
With all that feats, it wouldn't be a surprise if he's actually a candidate for Schutzstaffel.

I have an opinon regarding as to why he was the only Sternritter that is seen manipulating Reishi.
Quilge Opie wasn't a battle-oriented Sternritter. His power is "Jail" which, while useful, isn't exactly very useful on a fight. That was why he was stationed on Hueco Mundo in order to subjugate Arrancar for the upcoming invasion. As only a Quincy can break free of his cages, this makes him perfect to capture possible threats, regardless if they are Shinigami, Arrancars and others.
Since his special ability is more aimed to capture others, he is therefore forced to rely on the manipulation of the Reishi around him for combat situations. While the other Sternritters had more useful abilities, meaning that they probably didn't feel the need to resort to Reishi manipulation. Haschwalth, Le Vaar, Gerard, Gremmy and Lille were pretty OP just with their abilities alone, imagine if they used Reishi like Opie did.

Quilge says his Sklav Rai is a further evolution of the ability that all Quincies have to absorb reishi. I'm thinking the absolute subjugation part of it is another ability of the "J." Absolute subjugation of reishi fits very well with his jail ability. Which is a form of subjugation itself. Therefore, it makes sense that it is only used by him, and Ywach would be able to use it too, if he so chose, since it was his power originally, and it would've returned to him. Or, it could just be that he was literally, only second to Haschwalth and Ywach himself. It makes sense, since he left the entire invasion of Hueco Mundo up to Quilge. Didn't send a single other Sternritter, just him. He was the one left to deal with not just all of Hueco Mundo, but had the job of keeping one of the 5 war potentials occupied for the whole first invasion as well. Quilge is no joke

the problem with quilge is that kubo seems to have forgotten something very important when showing his power. hollows are supposed to be poison for quincy. absorbing ayon should have been impossible for him, seeing as he cant even steal ichigo's bankai because of his hollow powers.

to be fair, it's hard to make a Jail a combat style, so he was forced to focus on every other quincy ability instead, which made him the best quincy fighter period, kinda like how batman has no superpower but relies on every little trick he can.

Look buddy the Bows and Arrows have to be meaningful you know actually be a apart of a hardcore battle like Quilpe not happening in a forgettable alleyway mugging with the Quincy trying to snag Ichigo war points as a war potential
PS Pepe bows and arrows was a part of his Schrift not his Reishi so it doesn't count
