found the video helpful, but I want to add a warning from personal experience. I cleaned the nozzles while having the printer standing on end for easier access. Do NOT do that. Any spillage of cleaning fluid/ink will drip down onto the encoder strip that runs through the printer head. At this point the printer will not work and give a misleading warning about a paper jam. To solve this I had to partially disassemble the printer to access the full length of the encoder strip to clean it. It works now but for a while there, I was ready to junk it.
I am impresed, I tryed this technique for my old old printer just to give it a last chance before dump it because it has been stored since I finished school, 3 years ago, oviously it didnt print at all , i followed the steps, set the cleaning on the printer and boom , just like new, it took 3 cleanings cicles to get it to a perfect point, I am so happy I didn't have to buy a new printer as well as bringing my ald friend back to life, 5 starts for this trick , P.s. i didn't have to suck out the ink , I just inject the magic liquid an that's it.
This worked for me, thank you. Saved me having to throw out my printer, which is now 12 years old and still working perfectly fine, now the printer head has been flushed out. Very useful video.
Okay, let me explain what happened to my printer. I bought it about 15 years ago I didn't use it. I cleaned the nozzles 1 / 1 until they came out. Clear, not inc. I put new cartridges inow besides cleaning and how to clean and how to change. How do you purge the ink from the new cartridges into the printing that particular printer brother MFC-495CW I did the cleaning like. I sat down to where it was so clear now. What I want to know is how you purge the ink on this particular printer 4 and 1 every time I try to ask this question. All I get is how to clean it. How to change the cartridge? I did all of that, but I want to know is how to make the ankle from the cartridge into the printing head step-by-step. Thank you so much whenever you have thet me know. I appreciate it very much.
I forgot to tell you yesterday. In the comment that I wrote. I have the same Isaac printer. You have, there is the brothey're MFC. Dash four ninety five c w the same exact One that you have there. And all I want to do how to purge the ink from the new cartridge into the Printing head. Printing head. That's all I need help in. I have the menu. I'm 63 years old. My eyes are not too good and I'm having a hard time reading the menu. So someone can just tell me how to go. Through what buttons to push so the ink? Can come out from the cartridge into the printing head. ?
I did the Deep cleaning for the black and the color but when you print a paper nothing comes out and I mean, not even a like color printing, nothing the paper comes out. What are you think is that the ink is not going from the ink cartridge to the print heads? Because I really didn't do anything when I bought it. I just plugged it in and I print a dollar bill. And then after that I just took it wrapped up The Wire. And put it in the closet never used it again after that, but I ask some people why I'm having trouble printing. And they told me that since I have it used it in a long time. The ink was dry so I bought from Amazon, a box of cartridges. I put a new set in after I clean the nozzles. I clean them all away until no color was coming outhe tissue that you put under the printing head was coming out just wet, no colors at first. Yes, you see a lot of color. But then nothing started coming out. So I put the new cartridges. I'll put you in. I turned to look at the menu but it looks blurry to me. That's what I did with mine. But it's exactly like the one that you have on the video
Use this printer constantly. Suddenly it stopped printing image. Some very faint images along edges. Plenty of ink. Not sure why nozzles would dry up or clog. I can try this but not sure it is worth saving even though I have lots of spare ink. My real question is where does all this cleaning fluid go that is being pushed thru the nozzles?
Hey I have that same exact printer 🖨 in this video and I never had a problem with it until now I'm an Error Saying ( Unable to Print 50 ) and it's Saying that I have Paper Jamed in it I checked it and it's Clean NO Paper Jammed at all. Can you help me out ? or have any ideas 💡 ? Thanks
If you already have a syringe is there a formula for making your own cleaning solution? I'm very broke and probably can't afford to buy it from a store.
Household domestic window cleaner works very well. I got that tip from another youtube video. I picked up an old printer that was tossed out on the street that wasn't printing, flushed it with some windex, solved the problem straight away.
I've been cleaning mine today like this, and I finally got black magenta and yellow to work great, but blue isn't outputting anything. *Update* Well now blue works after a deep clean in maintenance mode, but yellow dropped off to half quality. -_-
Okay so I disagree when you press that fluid through there it's going out through the printer head into your printer you're not putting anything to stop that fluid from running into your printer you need to open the top of that panel so you can see what that liquid is going.
Bozo, follow the vid more carefully and it will show you the nozzle heads that he applied the syringe to....Even though he did not show the syringe working the heads, he did show you that the heads were cleaned, which is all that matters, right?....Bonne chance, mon cloune....

Also, just a tip, wear rubber gloves as the ink will likely get on your hands!
Great to hear!

Hi, to get the ink through the printhead. You will need to do a deep cleaning.
I forgot to tell you yesterday.
In the comment that I wrote.

i cleaned out the printhead and the scanner and still not working..any other ideas? brother mfc J415w Thanks
ok I did the cleaning and I have run the cleaning mode like 10 times. It is finally printing but very faintly. Is there anything I can do?
Make sure you have new ink cartridges and continue and repeat the cleaning process and the cleaning modes
I didn't find the link for the cleaning kit

Move the head into the centre and put paper-towel under it - it WILL come out there
How to remove the print head? I think some paper towel is stuck underneath
You will have to move the printhead side to side until the paper comes out. The printhead is not removable.
Printhead Cleaning Kit is not available in amazon, please advice another location for the cleaning kit to buy.
In US it should be available. Canada also. geni.us/wArXsZT

Theres a port in the back that can get jammed.
Your printer may be malfunctioning.
99% isopropyl alcohol good to clean with...?? Or acetone...?? Thanks.
99% alcohol
Thank you
Best tutorial I have seen to date!!

Yes, that is true. Today I would recommend putting a paper towel under the printhead.
You don;t explain how much liquid you need to push through. Pushing the fluid through to where? Where does the fluid end up?
10 ml per nozzle and the fluid will end up where the paper passes through. So you will need a paper towel to soak up the excess solution and ink.
How to go to settings manual in menu to change in language. Thank you
I got this model but the problem is cant on how to fix it thanks
It worked, thanks!

Why didn't you put a paper towel under the print heads?
I dont know but you should do that.
Thanks1 It's worth a try.
I followed your instructions but it is not printing anything, the paper comes out all white.
Try running a printhead cleaning, that will push ink back into the system.
@@BestPrinters I called brother customer service and they helped me. Thanks

Mfc 410j doesnt print at all after 4 years storage.
you never mention how much cleaning solution you inject for each color.
About 10-20ml depending on how bad the problem is.
I think I'll just buy another one.
Cant see anything you are doing
