Mental peace, time for self and balance in family & professional life too is no less important than the monetary profit. I left the high earning job and decided to stick to less earning one just because the high earning one took away my mental peace, took away my health and my personal life. Money is an important factor....but not the sole factor for everyone definitely.

Have Sun in MKS (12th from Arudha Lagna) .... I got Govt jobs twice...but both times I had quit after some time. My first job was under Central Govt but I left that within few months, as it made me sick, insomniac, depressed, cut off from my family as leaves weren't granted (emergency service), and yes, there was toxic politics at workplace. The second job was under State govt. I worked for 3 yrs and then left coz it too snatched away my Mental Peace and life-security. I finally decided to settle for something small yet peaceful (self-employed currently)
