This makes a lotta sense thanks to the museum in new horizons: in the last room in the fossil expo thing, you have all the species of animals from birds to the monkey. The last one is a skull of a human, but there is no image of a human! If you stand there a light will shine on you, meaning you are probably the last human

I think that during the apocalypse a lot of humans got sick and turned into mutant animals hints the reason you can talk to them in the game and the humans that weren't effect were in fallout shelters or immune to the sickness

I think, nothing is bad here. Like Alice in Wonder land, this is a weird village that contains animals, humans might not be there, probably because, it's rare to find a village with animals.

You forgot about radiation. Radiation could add arms so why wouldn't it cause animals to have human features like walking
Erick Mendoza Thats not how radiation works. But it can affect the development of a child during pregancy. He said in the video that they were safe from radiation in underground bunkers.

It's not really that bad... It's not that big of a deal.
I think the humans being short and small could be proof they evolved while living in the bunker for many years. They also never really seem to need to eat in the games and through evolution they developed to need less food over long periods of time. The human immune system seems pretty bad in the games as they can pass out immediately from bug bites showing they haven't been exposed to the outside world for quite a while. So the bunker theory seems realistic. I imagine high tech bunkers could allow meaningful food production and water conservation methods to be possible.
Hey nice video. I just subscribed. And one thing I notice is in your theory videos towards the end when you rap up the theory and why you agree with it, the music starts to take over and I can hardly hear what you say. Can't wait to see more theories from you.

@@YokoSquib Well, not every youtuber can reply to their fans, as most of them are just ONE person running the channel and are very busy. People can't reply to everyone and no one is entitled to getting a reply and should not be so demanding. TheBigOReview is a cool person and genuine, but don't undervalue other RUclipsrs, just because they can't reply to every damn comment. RUclipsrs are human, like you, and have their own lives and worries. I know this is an old comment, but people should stop dehumanising RUclipsrs and actually be more understanding. Especially bigger youtubers with millions upon million of subs; You can't actually expect them to reply to every comment, right? They probably never even saw your comment, due to how many there were. A few years ago I had in dream, in which I lived in the Animal Crossing world, but everything was apocalytic and burning...

I think this theory is a happy one in the end.
The only issue is that evolution like that (Animal to humanoid) would take a VERY VERY long time. I'm talking MILLIONS of years! Your character would have to be an EXTREMELY distant relative of a doomsday prepper. This also means that things like game consoles would probably be long lost and forgotten unless they were somehow remade exactly as they were millions of years ago, which is unlikely. So I think this theory has been debunked.
I think a theory of an alternate universe is much more likely.
Edit: Just got to the part where he talks about the same issue of evolution.

This helps to explain the massive number of Gyroids in the game. If one is buried with every human, as per Japanese tradition, then it makes sense that your town is built on top of a mass burial site...

My headcanon is the animals are a kids stuffed animals and they are playing with them. It explains why there are multiples of NPCS and villagers. It explains the ones that left the games, the kid stopped playing with them. I know it isn’t perfect, but it’s wholesome and gives an explanation to things without being to dark.

I know this is old, but, I always thought the same, with the difference that I thought that the animals were mutated humans, and only a small amount of humans didn't mutated. And that explains the peacefulness, because humans don't want violence anymore, only peace.

Animals have been around longer and have had more time to evolve than humans. In fact, humans are the invaders and took away the homes of animals. About the turnip thing. I think the thing about turnips being managed like the stock market is just a pun because the game was made in japan and the japanese word for turnips and stocks is the same
Adding on. In happy home designer, perhaps the animals wanted to replicate human towns and homes, because humans lasted so long. So they give you, the only human in the game, creative freedom over, basically the entire turn.

I think the best evidence here is the fact that famous art pieces can be BOUGHT by some random guy who just goes around on a boat. Also, this is just conjecture, but it seems like every game is part of a gradual program by Tom Nook to bring back civilization

Its possible that they created a way to get water. I remember in the book fall out, there bunker could get water from either the soil or the air.

Maybe it was a cut off town that was an island thats why you take a train that is perfectly ok and the nuke was small maybe the humans and animal atoms were fused becuase they must be moving fast in an exsplosin so fast that your atoms will seperate break and fuse the horns is from a fathere away animal hence only getting horns

I always thought our character was just insane and hallucinating
or the radiation messed with the animals too, which may have messed with their brains and instincts creating the animals in the game wouldn't make more sense to have this reasoning? especially since how you mentioned we have horns in the gamecube one how that might have resulted from the radiation why in this theory don't you suggest that the radiation did something to the animals aswel. It fits perfectly

It bears mentioning that humans ARE animals, technically. There's only one human per town because most Animal Crossing towns have only one or two animals of a certain species. My New Leaf town started with one bull, one bunny, one bird, one duck, one tiger, one pig, and one human (me). If you add up all the human players in each individual game from ACGC to ACNL, anyways...that's definitely not a shortage of humans. But I like this theory, especially how it was cute and happy at the end. And does anybody know what IS up with the horned hat in ACGC...?

I always thought the humans were just like another animal. You have dogs, cats, rabbits, goats and of course, humans because in reality we are just animals.
