  • After posting a lengthy video of me complaining about a mediocre game that doesn't get much attention, I've decided to shift focus to some standout games within the same genre. Since the video only features gameplay, it's time for what I consider to be the most underrated games based on the Nickelodeon show. By "most underrated," I mean games that were somewhat obscure but still hold nostalgic value for those who grew up with them. I don't claim that these games are masterpieces by any means. Some games were released for different home consoles and PC, but some could have lived up to expectations. This could be due to licensing issues with certain game publishers or attempts to emulate the success of games like Super Mario 64 and Crash Bandicoot. Many games follow the trend of 3D platformers that steal the spotlight rather than being overlooked. Despite not aiming to be number one, these underrated games have pros and cons. However, some games suffered better development, better controls, and many frustrating glitches, which failed to capture the show's essence and movies in the media. Then again, people don't value these games because they rely on reviews from gaming sites like IGN and GameSpot. These licensed games are generally cheap because they end up in bargain bins. However, those not sold end up going for high prices as rare items on eBay. Not everyone has these games in their collection, which shit like this is why some licensed games based on popular media can be costly. I won't say that all the games are too much expensive, but hey, I was lucky to find a Rugrats game on the PlayStation 1, which, by the way, is cheap.
When it comes to video games, I want to discuss some of the Rugrats games available on home consoles. Specifically, I want to discuss two exclusive PlayStation 1 games: Search for Reptar and Studio Tour. I recently rediscovered these childhood games and am curious to see if they hold up well. Back in 2008, I stumbled upon gameplay footage on RUclips, and that's how I found out about these Rugrats games. I remember watching the videos on a RUclips channel called NAVGTR, also known as Flights of Fantasy Media. Funny enough, that's probably my first introduction when I was watching these video game reviews, and because of some crummy channel that I remember.I wish I had a copy of Rugrats: Search for Reptar as a kid, but it seemed like nobody was talking about it at the time. Now, although there are walkthroughs and speedruns available, I still think it's a pretty decent game, as many Rugrats fans seem to agree. Rugrats: Search for Reptar was released on October 31, 1998, in North America and November 1998 in Europe-the first Nickelodeon game into the Third Dimension, developed by n-Space and THQ on their side. N-Space was known for creating games that were primarily focused on Nintendo consoles. Still, in the beginning, they worked on games on both the PC and PlayStation, such as the GT Interactive games TigerShark, Bug Riders: The Race of Kings, Duke Nukem games, and Die-Hard Trilogy 2: Viva Las Vegas with Fox Interactive. They also did some ports on the Nintendo DS and 3DS systems, and their last game on the list was Sword Coast Legends from Digital Extremes before they shut down for its closing in 2016.

Here we go. I've written a journal about my thoughts on the game. I've discussed my experiences with the game and some information I brought up in the review. Enjoy.
