Just picked up my gr86 last week since ordering in March this year and so far, it's awesome. I did have a slight annoyance to the indicators before getting BUT when I steer left or right, its indicators stop when straightened which is great and the blind spot monitoring for side mirrors. Imo I reckon the clutch is a great feel and finding the engaging point is fairly easy to find after a couple stops. Love the vid keep'em going!
Currently running on invidia n1, it unleashes the sound burbles on downshift but a bit too droney on certain RPMs especially the ones that used the most in daily driving range and the cold start is LOUD ! Decided to swap out for a HKS hi power single exit, installing today see how I go.
@@00Lachmate this exhaust is wayyyy better, day and night difference. If you don’t mind the single exit look this is the one to get. Saves weight and burbles better than invidia n1. Cold start is bearable and cancels out all cursing drone at all speed !
@@00Lach thats good to hear mate.. Some of our trucks have got them but since I'm driving more that havent I haven't got used to them yet.. but that should change once my daily driver has them. Im looking at dashcams at the moment too.. thinking I'll go with the viofo a229 plus as it looks like good value. Dealership wanted $1500 for a blackvue installed.. something else we have in our trucks.. they're ok but overpriced. Did you find a better wireless carplay adapter yet? Ottocast and Carlinkit 5.0 seem to be solid performers. Whatever I get I want it to be out of the way and not sit in one of the cup holders or impede the doors from closing. I can see there will be a mini dongle like a BT adapter on a PC soon so you'll be able to plug it straight into the usb and its short profile wont get in the way.
@@petetherealrelentless6542 Honestly haven't found any better solution for wireless car play yet and that's mainly because Bluetooth does a good job for me at the moment. Definitely something to look into though, thanks for the recommendations
I'll be at 6 months end of december with my GR86. I think the funniest thing is how much people complain about the indicators, you "get it" after the second try, and it never even remotely becomes an actual problem lol.
Some people saying they only push them all the way on when sitting somewhere waiting to turn.. the rest of the time just pushing them to the first phase.
You should. I shortlisted HKS, Fujitsubo, Apexi and was prepared to import from Japan. However no regrets. I feel some of the exhaust solutions are overly complicated. Some give you worse ground clearance, some add turbulence and drag. Q300 is like OEM with better build, smaller muffler and a smaller resonator. OEM plus.
Great vlog man, thanks for making this. You literally touched upon every point I've been thinking about lately haha. You a member of the QLD86/BRZ Club? You ever visit Lakeside Raceway or any other events? Cheers.
Yeah it's a pretty fun little track, for sure. I haven't gone in many years though lol. I was thinking, even just visiting the track as a spectator, when the 86/BRZ club is there, you'd be able to check out a few different cars, maybe even get a better idea about which catback exhaust to get. Cheers.

I have the 2024 BRZ on order and was concerned about those indicators and the clutch so it’s nice to know it’s something you get used to.
Honestly so easy to get used to and even like 😎

Still a big fan of the Nvidia Q300. Gets no hype, but its a great exhaust if you damp down the wheel well. Has a great deepish note and just works.
I'll look into it thanks man

Did you do any PPF on the front or just Ceramic coating?
Just coating
Have you checked out the Borla S Type? Hard to find in Aus but it sounds not too loud. I was leaning towards the HKS Spec L2 but its a bit farty
Yeah it's a tough choice 😅

No problem man, always good to get inspiration from other members of the community who have already done the mods lol.
Just get to the review. Not interested in all your blather.
