If Harvard ever had a Twisted Metal: Black course in their curriculum, I would make sure you were the professor. This is incredible stuff. Very thorough and well presented!
What a well articulated video. Now you can see why it's considered a slog to get through Co-Op on hard. Which sucks cause I like the enemy aggression, not the enemy health.
I'm definitely pro increasing bot health on harder difficulties and co-op, but good lord, I didn't expect hard co-op to have such a huge multiplier for it. The fact that it takes nearly a full inventory of power missiles to take him down after breaking his shield there is ludicrous lmao. And the fact that even Grimm/Spectre have upwards of 200 HP there is also cursed lol.
@@VilikisTMA Yeah and I get that. I'm all for health increase if it's within reason (co-op normal or SP on Hard), which for TMB at a certain point does not feel right. It's just hard mode + co-op specifically makes it feel less impactful fighting. At that rate it should've been a multiplier you manually select to find that ground both parties want.
@@dr.badguy3911 honestly I wouldn't mind playing with those values myself. Part of me wants to try 1P Story with the co-op modifiers, even though I know that'll be an enormous slog without a buddy.
Great info Vil! How did you make all the cars stay still? Also I can agree that increasing the hp values for co-op makes sense. I still don’t think it was needed for single player and would work better as a mod imo.
This game rules because you can tell the devs said "alright what if we did this" and never stopped to think if they shouldn't in most cases.

Excellent video! Interesting and also explains ALOT i've been feeling was kinda weird about the AI health for years.
Poor poor power missiles...

@@VilikisTMA GOOD. LUCK. LOL
Damn! Hard Co-Op Minion out here making offline Juggernaut blush.

I basically just copied an old code from my GameShark 2 disc onto PCSX2 to disable them.
