What grabs my attention is the dozens of electrical connections running across or along the walkways. I've already seen a few videos of other favelas but this is probably the closest contact to the real people thing I've seen. A great video.
This favela is called "Rocinha" and it's not dangerous. It has a bad reputation because it's very large, but as you can see, people from all over the world can move around normally and nothing will happen (foreign friends, favelas are not always just about poverty and lack of security).
I was last week in rocinha, high in the favela we saw 2 guys i think 20years old with machineguns, our tourgide knows them he come also from rocinha, but if we walk there alone, they rob us
Rocinha is far from the most dangerous favela of RJ, because the movie operator is stil alive 😅. The dangerous ones around the world are Chapadão, Juramento, Maré, from RJ, and London, Paris, Roma and New York City, between some 😂😂
rochina is not the most dangerous , its the biggest and the most touristic one in brasil . In the dangerous one u can not even enter without being know

The most famous, but not the most dangerous. This is one tourists go (Vidigal too). Sometimes they are gang free, but mostly they do have active gangs which have a tacit agreement with tour guides and tourists: if you don't go to the actual places we deal drugs, you are free to go to certain places in the favela. In the most dangerous favelas, you cannot go inside it without being known by the gangs. People get killed because they took the wrong turn and ended up in a favela.
We were in rocinha and i tell you, its dangerous up there, guys with machineguns, deep in the favela, this guy walks the normal street, he have to go inside, but then they rob him

Now if you a rich cacusian and look like a rich cacusian then no you not safe because you have no business there. But if you from the hood and look hood you be alright you mind your business. Ive never felt unsafe
Exactly. Favelas are increasingly mixed neighbourhoods. I always visit and stay in favelas when in Rio. Not sure if I look rich, but definitely look Caucasian. No one has batted an eyelid about my presence in any favela, as far as I can tell. It is only when you start to talk to people.
@@Brazil144hopeful My people? I would argue that the Brazilians created this, rather than anyone from my neck of the woods. I don't think pride on my part has anything to do with it either. If anything, I am envious of the pride the favelados tend to have for their communities. Totally unlike the folks from the asphalto who seem embarrassed to be Brazilian.
The safety here is deceiving. Just take the wrong turn in the middle of the night when your'e driving those streets You'll be sent back to your country in a wooden suit
Rocinha? Brazil's most dengerous favela? Are you kidding me? Rocinha is very touristic and even kind of luxus favela! Mare is dengerous and looks far different then Rocinha. Try to get there and then we can talk about one of the most dengerous favela in Brasil...

O Brasil é gigante, acho que nem 1% é favela, então não sei porque vocês se doem tanto. É fato que é um lugar diferente.

Looks safer than Oakland.

Nah I live in Downtown Oakland as an Asian and it's been pretty safe so far.
You just have to refuse to talk to anybody and head home quick 🤣

Gostei de ver, nunca estive lá mas achei legal o colorido e o comércio variado que deve ter
praticamente tudo que se precisa. 🙂
coisa linda é o meu BRASIL
Amazing picture quality--i like this --- bro---
A Rocinha como a favela mais "perigosa"??? Faz o seguinte, vá lá pra Nova Holanda e tenta filmar e vamos ver quantos minutos você dura......
Onde fica???
It looks fine to me. Very busy with narrow roads, but it seems safe.
Looks pretty normal to me. Paraguay border was more hectic than this
Beautiful Brazil
Piada ?
4:27 if I'm not mistaken that's the place where Poudii and that drake hating Brazilian rapper were hanging out 😂
kkkkkkkkk nem nós brasileiros temos coragem de filmar uma favela assim kkkkkk
