Summary: Toss ball into court to land about 6 inches using ABduction with the tossing arm. You want to drive the tossing arm by pulling in the elbow rather than dropping of the hand see 6:28-6:31 of video. When loading the legs, this should be done BEFORE you begin dropping the racket behind your head. Timing is key, you want to drive the legs and drop the tossing elbow at the SAME time as you push off the ground to synchronize the racket, tossing arm and legs. Tilt the body and rotate torso away, chest pointing towards back fence to some degree and laterally tilt the left shoulder upwards. Hopefully this helps someone as they watch the video.
I play First Person Tennis in VR with racket adapter. I'm 53. I got 108 mph serve today using the lateral shoulder tilt. Going to be adding your other tips, leg drive etc as well. Thanks so much for these tips, Grant!
I’ve watched your videos many times and bought your videos but I’ve never really focused much on the racquet tip up. What a difference that makes sense. Total leg drive that comes naturally. The right leg kicks back effortlessly. 4.5 player always looking ti improve. Thank you Grant !
