Hi! I'm getting this laptop for a good price from a local seller. May i know how is the battery life of the laptop, I'll mainly be using for coding (VScode) and youtube for implementation.
@@brucexwayne2309 When you use VSCode you hardly use the battery so 6-8 hours. With RUclips watching and a few other intense things it's about 4.5 - 6 hours. However you can change the power plan and that will extend usage by 1 to 1.5 hours extra.
I had a bad experience with MSI. I had a Modern 15 intel 10th gen i7 10710u. After one year, the battery was almost flat, Windows 10 was quite poorly optimized despite all the updates made. Also, there were micro freezes on youtube, yet my graphics settings were selected on the integrated chipset only. I now enjoy the reliability of DELL and it is a pure happiness on my Latitude 5510!. The only real positives were the quality of the screen and keyboarding for me.
11th gen is quite a leap forward over the 10th gen, and I haven't experienced any freezes. The browser can be a main contributor. If you use Chrome then you can expect freezes and as it does a lot of virus / malware checking in the background without you knowing it, it's very possible that this was the reason for the battery being drained. Plus one has to care for the battery. One shouldn't operate a laptop under 10%. Running it down to 10% or 5% often can damage the battery. I recommend using the Opera browser. If you have 50 or less tabs open then the demand on the system is not bad and a whole lot better than other browsers.

@@Playenne The battery reporting is not consistent but it does last a day. So it should get you through an 8 hour day of coding or office work. @@comedywithsuspense749 Personally I would never buy an HP laptop. The HP 15s doesn't look great. The up down key is split, the touchpad is way off center.
