Giant puppets walk on Geneva streets
GENEVA (REUTERS) - A huge crowd gathered in Geneva streets on Friday (Sept 29) to watch an eight-metres-high grandmother puppet and a six-metres-high girl articulated by tens of Lilliputians.
The Giants, created by French street theater group Royal de Luxe, stopped at various locations in Geneva to lick a lollipop, drive a scooter and even pee in the street. The 83-year-old grandmother and her five-year-old granddaughter were followed by a music band.
The show La Saga des Geants, which needed 2 or 3 years' preparation, will last until Sunday (Oct 1). Royal de Luxe, founded by Jean-Luc Courcoult in 1973, has already performed in several cities all around the world such as London or Montreal.

In this time of grace in September 2017, and by the incredible conjugation of a particular alignment of stars in space, astronomers from all over the world saw a shower of meteorites rushing to Earth.
Although it was impossible to distinguish either the matter or the size of these projectiles launched at the speed of light, they nevertheless found, with an infinitely small margin of error, their trajectory and the point of impact which they established at latitude 46 ° 12 and longitude 6 ° 05.
The city’s Mayor, pointing his finger at the map on the desk, was moved by an intergalactic shudder - it was Geneva …

What gets me is the amount of detail in these figures. Eyes are blinking heads are turning and even the hands are moving in sync to the legs. What is also amazing is the teamwork moving these giants. All are in perfect syn and timing. Truely amazing

The amount of work they put in these puppets, and not to mention that Ellan made a commercial with a giant puppet girl promoting their candy. It took 12 months to make her. My respects ngl🤚

It’s a similar giant statues parade taking place every year in Bali, in Indonesia. It is during Nyepi festivities, and followed by Silent Day. I recorded also there 2 weeks ago 😀😀
