Chris Wise You will always be relevant! you played with the greatest of college players and came through when the chips were down! we will never forget you
Man. Almost makes me cry. lol. Petrino got the Hogs back to a place I never thought was possible. Coming off that Cotton Bowl win we were a national power. Then April fools day happened and it's been bad ever since. These Bobby P years where so much fun.
I know what you mean. I periodically go back and watch games from the 2010 or 2011 season and it always gives me chills all over again. It’s a combination of joy and sorrow.
Then we were also exposed for Petrinos lack of recruiting skills, and lack of talent. He wouldve only won seven games with that team, which definitely would've been an improvement in 2012, but I dont think with that team , even Petrino woulde have made that much difference.
Well here we are in 2023, and guess who’s back! Let’s hope this video gets a part 2! When I see the Joe Adams Houdini return, I remember being in the nosebleeds screaming my head off! Glad Bobby is back!
Nice to see I am not the only one who went looking for this old video after the big news broke. Lol hopefully we can get back to this not just the wins but the players back then just seemed to play with a whole other level of intensity. They knew how to properly earn that Razorback name like a “wild band of hogs”
After every brilliant display by Chad Morris, I like to come back to this video, just to feel what it is like to be good again. As I’m watching it, I don’t know whether to cheer or whether to cry. Thank you for reminding me that we used to be a good team, although we might not be able to experience this again for a long time, and that is if we ever do get to experience this again.
So true. I think he could do a good job of accounting for the speed of his receivers; neither leading them or under throwing. Each time they got separation from a defender, he just laid it in their hands.
Man. 2006-2011 are my favorite years of Hog football. Still pretty young but these are the games I remember going to and seeing such an explosive offense and a stifling defense! Hopefully these aren't my favorite years of all time. Better things are on the way! Thanks for letting me re-live my childhood WM!
Randy Coger even though he underachieved with Lamar Jackson and almost drug Louisville into the dirt. While also face fucking every other team he was at
He’s baaaaaaccccklkkkkk!!!!! I never wanted him to leave. I was in high school back when Arkansas was a football team that was feared. I can’t wait to see what he brings to the table again
I just forget how much of a beast Dennis Johnson was. Joe Adams - brah - just speed speed speed and moves. How he avoided all those players and even went backwards 7 yards and then went scoreboard. And Mallet. What. An. Arm. Hitting receivers in stride. Those were the days. Fo sure.
@@jyrunndixon I will give Devin the nod in the pros, but at the collegiate level he had nothing on Joe. Every time Joe touched the ball you held your breathe.

I can pinpoint my high mark as a Razorback football fan: right at 18:13 on this video. We were about to go up 14-0 over #1 LSU, and I remember thinking, "We might actually get to play for the National Championship."
he wrecked half of that florida defense single handedly on one play. even the two players who pushed him out went down into a flailiing pile while he trotted away. I swear that guy was made out of stone or something. the way he just shed tacklers like ants
4:41 -- One of my favorite Dennis Johnson plays of all-time with four broken tackles, and of course he had a bunch of incredible plays (including several kick return touchdowns too).
Now that was an era!! Someone needs to send this to our current coaching staff!! This is what a football teams looks like!! Say what you want about BP, he was a winner an so was his teams!! WPS!! GO HOGS GO!!
thank you for posting this. i was born in 2000 so these are by far the best years of razorback football i really remember. i remember hearing about mcfadden and jones but not really understanding football or what they were doing until probably 7-8 years later. these were such fun years to watch holy shit. i remember being so shocked after bobby got fired on my birthday, april 10th. was leaving my soccer game when my mom told me i swear to god 😂. anyways thank you for posting this, if you can’t already tell it bring back memories.
I remember the 2011 season so vividly. They recruited me heavy so I got free tickets to every home game 🔥🐗 great experience. Hopefully one day the hogs will make a comeback. The Bret bielema era made us look like a str8 up joke to the sec & really all of college football. Say what you want about petrino. Yeah what he did was wrong but aye he ain't the only coach out here gettin pussy at these university lol but he had the team on the right track bet a lot of fans wish we woulda kept him if we could have saw what was to come the next few years

Have you ever noticed that receivers were open 20-25 yards downfield as soon as Mallett turned to throw? He hardly ever needed to wait for receivers to finish their cuts and then find openings. I hope Petrino can bring those route techniques back to the offense.
I am. Lived in Fayetteville for 22 years and attended every game through the Nutt, and Petrino years. Nutt played not to lose. Petrino played to win. Glad he's back and hope he learned humility

As great as the Petrino era was with stacks of talent on offense especially I do think that they would have eventually declined like Louisville do possibly to a lack of effort from the staff, nepotism, and recruits just figuring out that Petrino is an asshole. That being said it was the most enjoyable time for me as a razorback fan and wow Dennis Johnson and Joe Adams were electric.
Something im noticing is these Bobby P teams blocked so well. Not so much at the line, but after the ball is handed off or caught. Hopefully we can get aome of that enthusiasm this year
I just want to cry when thinking of what could have been should Petrino been able to stay. I don't blame Bobby, I have strong ill feelings for the "holier than thou" jerks that fired him.
Wasnt nothing to do with holier than thou. It was blatantly favoritism for a girl that he was screwing, that wasnt qualified for the job, then he not only lied about it, he tried to convince hospital workers and the state trooper that took him to the hospital to keep quiet. They fired him to avoid a massive title 9 lawsuit.
18:06 That one is so difficult to watch just knowing how close we were to playing for a national championship. When we went up 14-0 on them, I remember thinking, "Oh my goodness! We're gonna win this thing."
Knowing what we know now, would it have been better to have kept Petrino rather than suffer the worst stretch in Razorback football history? Unequivocally, yes.
The theme in those years for Petrino were that he had Arkansas boys playing with hate in their heart for the other teams they were playing carrying the flag on their shoulders in every game. We lost some of that and need that real fire back in our players
