@@ficosk8 thanks, I've got launch, cruise, thermal 1, and thermal 2, and flaps on the throttle stick.

@@ficosk8 yes, bind button is launch preset (a little extra up elevator for rotation) and starts the timer.

@@ficosk8 launch has a couple degrees of reflex to help it fly straight during the high speed part of the launch then cruise is clean wing, thermal 1 is about 3mm camber and thermal 2 is about 6mm camber.
When I throw it's fairly level, the bind button launch preset gives the up elevator to rotate upwards then when I let go of the button it flies straight. Once I tip over at the top I switch to cruise or thermal depending on conditions.

Would you recommend Spektrum, Radiomaster or FRSKY tx for this glider? Was the Dx8 hard to program for it at all?

I've programmed a few DLG's onto my DX8 so it was not hard at all, would probably be a lot different for someone doing it for the first time.
I also use the glider menus and know exactly how I want it set up.
As to suggesting a brand, I don't think it matters as long as you know how to use it.
There are no downloads or things like that for DLG models, I've done a couple write-ups on RCGroups on setting one up on Spektrum.
