Anyone can be a glory hunter and follow one of the big teams. Our club anthem is about joys and sorrows, perseverance and one day making it. I know Man Utd fans who didn't even watch the league cup final as it was just a poxy competition. Quite honestly the big clubs have no soul and their fans are just plastic with no real affinity. Love your videos Eddy. KRO.

Thing about supporting a football team is you're born into it.
My dad is a v**** fan but the rest of my family are blues fans. My grandad took me to my first ever football game and I've been hooked since.
    It's in your DNA.

I hear that 100x but if you’re from brum and your dad supports Liverpool how can you feel a connection to your club ? Footy is more than just results it’s about supporting your team week in week out, feeling a connection to the club and players.
Even if ur dad supports a top 6 team you’re missing out on the essence of football which is being there on match day with fellow fans

IMHO people like to associate themselves with success to make themselves feel cool or better or superior.
    I don't get it.
I live in Barnsley, and when I was working with a homework club some of the lads asked me who I supported.
When I told them I supported Birmingham City, there response was, "BIRMINGHAM! They're rubbish!"
My response was, "So? That's not the point!"
None of them supported Barnsley. I told them they should lol
Once I was with a friend who took me to a big supermarket in Hillsborough, a bit further on from the ground.
Wednesday were at home, but the coaches were from Cornwall, Norwich, Timbuctoo and all over the place.
Then the penny dropped, the visitors were Man U. Didn't see a single coach from Manchester! 🤣🤣
Great stuff man. You totes get it!

The word support has changed meaning over the last thirty years in the context of football. Ask most people who say they support a team what that involves and their response will have nothing to do with attending matches. They will have chosen their club after watching football on television. The club will not ever have known they exist.

Supporting a local team means 2 things.
It means genuine pride in the place and being able to passionately get behind the team without ever feeling like a fraud.
It also means being able to talk football and football culture with your brethren on a daily basis in daily life.
You simply can't get these things supporting a big team unless of course you're a Mancunian Red or a Scouser or a Londoner

My eldest grandson, just 8, asked me the other week, why he has to support Stoke? Why can`t he support Man City,Man Utd or "a team that wins things, and doesn`t get beat every week?"I said you`ve only been 6 times over the past 2 seasons.Ok,so you haven`t seen them win yet,but you will one day.And then, you`ll know what it means to follow the best team in the country. He shook his head, mumbled something like"you`re mad grandad"and went back to his computer game.Sometimes I wonder what he`ll think of me in 20 years time, when he`s had a taste of the ups(few) and downs(too many) of following the Potters.

Well said Eddy. Blues are first and foremost a family. We stick together.
I took my kids to watch El Clásico at the Nou Camp parading the top 3 players in the world in Ronaldo, Messi and Neymar. Plus Iniesta, Suarez, Marcelo, the list went on. In front of 95000 on his 8th birthday. You’d think it’s quite a birthday present. We then watched blues at home against Newcastle in front of 16k. Do you know what he said? I enjoyed Barcelona dad, but I got different feelings watching the blues. It was more exciting.

    And Venus was her name

    Yeah, baby, she's got it

    Well, I'm your Venus
