So with Niche fragrances...It was explained to me one time by a Creed saleswoman...it's like baking cookies, same recipe but the batches can vary!!! It can vary by quality/procurement of ingredients, manufacturing facility issues etc etc etc!!

Agreed, I decluttered mine but kept my Melodie de Orientica, a great dupe but with a much softer petitgrain that's getting subdued by the marshmallow, a little more each month!
GIIIRRRRRLLLUUUHHHHHH!!! this is why I try a lil 2ml and if I like it, I go up to a 5ml. If I reeeaaallllyy like it, I get a travel size. Nothing has made it past that point😢
This happened to me with Kayali Vanilla 28 and Atelier des Ors Pink Me Up 😭 the samples were amazing but as soon as I got the full size bottle I was INSTANTLY disappointed. I think from now on I'll get 9-10ml decants or travel sizes of fragrances just so I know how it ages over time
That’s my story about Amouage Epic- first I fell in love, but after using it couple times for going out, I don’t reach for it. It’s just too sweet for me, too rosy, and overbearing, the fragrance wears me…. I always wear Sweetie Oud Roja instead

Blind bought Si Intense and Mon Guerlain intense 3 years ago. Waited for weeks to receive them. Hated them both. Couldn’t believe it. Decided to leave them alone…I try them about once a year. Today was the day to try them in 2024. I haven’t repented…still hate them both…😅

Creed Love in White was this for me. Sampled her twice on a trip to Vegas and it stayed on my mind for months. But when I finally got her, the magic was gone. It gives me plastic baby doll. I have a few other fragrances that I fell out of love with after getting the full bottle but she’s #1 on the list 😢

Mizensir's Amber Magique and A Hundred Silent Ways are the ones for me. I sold HSW but Amber Magique is still sitting in my closet collecting dust. It came off as too masculine when I sprayed it at home.
This happened to me with Apollonia. Sí got a sample, loved it upon first spray, bought it, then hated it! Since then I’ve tried wearing it 3 times and I just can’t stand it. After that experience I’ve learned to make sure I finish the sample or decant before deciding on a full bottle.
Now I am scared..😅😅😬😨 I am really looking forward to buy Apollonia. Here in India, decant is not available for Apollonia, at the store, it's not available, only online option and it's wayyy to expensive..

Going forward I will not purchase fragrances without sampling, learning what one likes, possibly could be a strong dislike for me. Also some get things on PR and will not be completely honest about the perfume scent.
Not everyone who gets pr is lying but I do understand having a fragrance be disappointing after hearing so much hype. But sampling is the best way to go
Grid Dior, girl. I bought a sample, decided I must have the full bottle. Bought it directly from the house. The packaging was incredible, the juice completely sucked; so much so, that it sits in my drawer. I hate it. Oh, also NR Musk Noir Rose, which I sampled at Macy’s, loved it, bought a bottle. Hella unimpressed.

I feel the same about attrape reve. I was obsessed when I got in years ago, but now that I’ve experienced so many more fragrances since then, I don’t love it as much. It’s still lovely though, don’t get me wrong, but not a favorite

I have 2 Delina bottles and they smell very different. So I am just letting them both macerate. It's soooo bizarre. It happens. I have a La Belle EDP and it smelled off for 4 years. Not until this year it started to smell okay. I am not liking it at all waiting for 4 years. Maceration is truly real. I have another fragrance that I got 1-2 years ago. And it was off. I was confused. It matured this year. It just happens now with all the fragrance houses.

I love LV Atrape -Reve! It’s my favorite 🤩! You can’t spray to much because it’s strong at first. The dry down is incredible. It last all day long. This is in a league all its own. I do have more LV scents coming but this is one is pretty hard to beat. I know you didn’t review any Tom Ford but $300 for a small bottle was crazy. I still can’t stand jasmine rogue. It’s smells like black licorice to me every time.
Yup, Kilian Princess. That decant was BOMMMBB! That ginger note kicks my a$$ from the full bottle. Edit: Roses Vanille too. Loved the decant, but now it's pulling masculine on my skin and I don't know why. Maybe it's the weather, but it makes me so sad.
Delina Exclusif did that to me. I purchased a 15ml decant and it was singing, so I got a full bottle. It’s good but, it didn’t hit the same. I’m hoping it will mature over time to smell just as rich as the decant. I still use the decant.
Yesterday I got the dolce devotion and I am not in love the way I first sprayed at ulta I don’t know how but maybe after a week, it will change; however, yesterday after I opened my reaction wasn’t the same !

Maybe the bottle need time to “marinate”. That happened with me with a perfume, I know that I love because. I’ve bought that fragrance repeatedly. It took a whole year for that bottle to give me its magic.

For me, it was a Swiss Arabian perfume oil. I bought a bottle of Amaali and loved it so much I bought a backup. By the time I tried to use the backup bottle, it was so strong I can't stand it. 😢
Hey love ! I agree with you on attrape reve it smelled like medicine from the jump. Fast forward a year later I smell it and I’m like oh this nice. Then after that medicine earthy scent again. It’s hit or miss never know what I get with it 😭😭

I hated vanilla 28 for the longest. It wasn't until I smelled a bottle with dark juice that I said oh I get it lol

I went through a sample of amore cafe by mancera loved it and I bought the full bottle and was so underwhelmed. All vanilla, no coffee
