Let's journey together!
A 2 bedroom apartment in Komarock Heights is quoted at Kes. 5.8 Million by a number of real estate companies including Tysons, Villacare etc, and we haven't touched the Maisonettes at Phase 5 that started at Kes. 9.5 million..
I was wondering where he got those prices....maybe in the 90's
That 3.7 million was the going rate more than 10 years ago, now, you'll be hard pressed to get anything other than a 1 bedroom house at less than 5 Million
Alafu I don’t think it’s somalis who made the rent to rise in komarock , coz those are standard market rents similar to other areas in Nairobi even in areas that have got no Somalis
Komarock heights have bad management, borehole water is more expensive than from nairobi County and pipes leaking no repairs made,I would not advice anyone to buy an apartment there speaking from experience
Hi Bro turundi kwetu Western By paass
Great job AK, especially where you tell the correct narrative. 60% of Nairobians live in Eastlands and not slums as the NGO's like to claim. The slums (Kibera, Mukurus, Mathare etc) at most host 10% of the population.
Interesting, because the only pictures of Nairobi that we see in the west are downtown Nairobi and the Kibera slum.
I will have you know that Nairobi is actually the richest area in the world.
@@jlw2719 that's the narrative of msm so that the political class does not have to do anything to help reduce poverty and homelessness in the west they can simply tell you you are richer than Africans that's my take on all those images especially before RUclips and I also got the impression in the west that everyone thinks they are better than Africans by tbthey are struggling all the same way because you struggle to pay rent ,heat electricity or a a mortgage and Africans struggle to pay rent or they have a piece of land and struggle to build a good house and battle with nature to find food and water
I just came across your channel and oh goodness... Thank you for capturing Kenya and Nairobi to be exact. I live in Germany and Im always getting frustrated trying to show my workmates just how beautiful Kenya is because google does not do us justice. ..love your content yani..love and support from Germany...
Discovering Kenya through your lens is refreshing, enlightening and informative. Thank you much! ~ Texas follower
There is any place in dar es salaam like this tuongee ukweli wezetu Kenya wako juu juu zaidi ss Bado Sana wanaonekana kuwa maisha ni mazuri huko duu!!! Mko vizuri makazi mazuri ya Raha mstarehe.
Nairobi is truly a magical city, it's very difficult to understand the magic behind this city
Born and raised in Kayole🔥🤜🤜
Finally umefika area code yetu
So good to see attractive housing estates. I wish developers could have thought of maintaining a balance between buildings and greenery. It is very important to preserve a balance for oxygen levels that is obviously a must for a healthy living. Unfortunately there are more and more such developments around the world and people forget the greenery that is required too. I wish a balance could be maintained. It would be a shame fir Africa to loose it's beautiful paradise of jungles. 💕 For 🇰🇪 From the 🇬🇧 💕
Afrikan Traveller, living in the US for two decades has meant I was oblivious to development in Kenya. So very proud of the progress I continue to see through your Lens. I am not oblivious any more. Thank you for this invaluable channel! 💝🙏🏾
Thank you so much Bernadette. We share Surname 😀
Wapande miti jameni, trees are very few
Hehehe! Kumbe pia wewe ume'notice. The whole compound ni nyumba, there's no space for trees. Watu wamejenga extensions kwa all the remaining spaces.
Shida ya eastlands kila pahali kukua na mwenyewe, ata kwako nje kuna hustler hutandika apo rojorojo zake majioni na huwezi muambia kitu
@@spenzerkamal1625 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣..bana.
This is ukambani unaonanga miti ukienda Kamulu na joska ? The natural vegetation is acacia trees I don't know how one would plant those

Text on repeat , Nairobi huge, thank bro always showing the world the good good , ,
I am a Tanzanian living in Dar es salaam looking at the East African countries, Kenya has made great strides in development, especially in terms of human development and housing, and road infrastructure. Kenyan People should be very grateful to your first President Kenyatta because he managed to put good policies that made you get to where you are now. I always look at Kenya and say Congratulations because you have gone so far compare to east African countries. I am very jealous looking at your development of Kenya. Congratulations to all Kenyans.
You must be Kenyan, majority of Tanzanians don't know how to write good English
@@thatlchiponda3368 Possibly but I have studied there since standard eight. Although we do not know English fluently, especially in terms of speaking and writing, we know Kiswahili fluently where you Kenyans cannot speak Kiswahili and write fluently. Each side has its pros and cons.
@@thatlchiponda3368 booom... Serves you right.....
Not all Tanzanias can't write Good English..... Great one bro
@@DennisDidas good polite low-key answer bro
When you mentioned the greatness of the first president Uhuru Kenyatta I thought you were joking.
Great show. Thanks for taking your time to show us Nairobi East.
Karibu sana.
I used to be so scared of going to Eastland’s yet that is where real life happens.Humble Kenyans live in Eastland’s.Very hard working people.
Wow! I visited Nairobi in 1985 & it is wonderful to see how vast the city is. I like the way the estates are planned. Thanks.
This is very nice content about Nairobi's Half-Life. Eastland is a very nice place and developing well
It is progressing very well.
African traveler how about south B and south C can you show us those estates please ..
only channel which i never skip an add
The real Nairobi
👌👌👌👌
True statement.
Amazing. On the ground it always feels chaotic but the city is actually well planned
I enjoyed this video and the background music. Keep up the excellent work Afrikan Traveller.
watu wanalia hakuna pesa kenya then you watch african traveller and realize while you are crying someone in kenya is slowly building hers or his dream house, yaani eastlands looks much better now, kweli wakenya wana bidii, serekali tuu ndio let down.
Ata mimi na sema hivi.
Our city is looking amazing.most of us don't get a chance to visit but with your video we can able to see and tell how beautiful it is.
Karibu sana.
I remember when it was just grass.
I remember the grasslands and sisal plantations.
@@SurebetSite254 "I learned a long time ago to never wrestle with a pig. You get dirty and besides the pig likes it."
@@SurebetSite254 You sound stupid on someone else channel! The area was an expansive grassland in the 80s to early 90s
@@tuitoekwilliam First time in Nairobi was 1995.
My country is beautiful love from 001
Eastlando made me at different stages of my life
This is where our dreams come true.
From the air it does not look that bad. What we need to do is improve the infrastructure on the ground.
I like a place where there are trees, grass, and other vegetation like well trimmed hedge.
drone shots ni Kali Kama Kawa, video imeweza.... Tunawakilisha eastlands........
Thanks for showing us this part of the city bro.
Karibu Bro.
Oh My Goodness !!! Unbelievable coverage. Grew up in this area decades ago and it's TOTALY unrecognizable. Thank you so much for an amazing drone footage. Regards from NJ.
Thanks for the captions..they help indicate roads and buildings, malls, estates and can be revisted years from now 👌
Am so much happy you did justice to my request ... Donholm is where all my life started in Nairobi being a small boychild from Gichagi stayed at harambee sacco estate with my aunt but now currently she is staying at *Oyster Village* opposite harambee sacco.. The one you have feature with a drone at 7:38 on your left bottom side of the screen.... Amazing video indeed🔥🔥🔥💪💪💪
Another incredible video. I love your videos. Thanks for showing Eastlando, yea a big population live in Eastlando. I remember when Donholm was a new estate, it was very cool but been neglected for long. Good work and the editing is just incredible, continue to show those Nai estates. See you very soon.
Good comments about Eastland's I loves Eastland's because you can live there without ever going to Nairobi CBC self sufficient
Eastlando my home. Center of dreams and excellence.
Indeed!
Am from the west side (am not cool, though) and kudos to those from the east for carrying the economy.
Much welcomed to GOTTA CITY ....city of Fame and the only place remaining as a city after kanairo declared a county
Nice piece to see Eastlands being showcased, too bad you missed Savannah and Grreenfield estates .
Hey my home town....watu wote tuligrow up Doni ma likes zikuje..back in the day Rikana was the supermarket
Thank you for honouring my request @AfricanTraveller 💪💪💪
I’m looking forward to see Kayole and Saika A&B
i started in komaa phase 3 in 1996 , then phase 5 n now in utawala side of nairobi. great video AK👌👌
@Afrikan Traveller, next time if you are planning to do an in depth tour of Doni maybe in future, let me know, I'll be glad to show and guide you all over, I've lived in Doni for 15 years and I know it inside out 😂
This vlog is going to be one of my best from your channel
Good morning A.T watching from malindi.. Great one
Haiya! Utakam lini Nairobi? We should meet up.
Great content African traveller 💯💯 I have learnt a lot about Eastlands Nairobi 🙏 I loved it 🇨🇴🇰🇪❤
It would be nice to see the CocaCola factory near Steel Structure - near my home
Greenspan looks very nice from above. I didn't know there is so much vegetation within the estate.
i like how ur videos are improvin, but like i said look for a local to explain to u a deeper meaning on the name of the place. and he can walk u thru the hood. awesome stuff bro
16 years is a long time id get lost in my hood Donholm 😐😐😐
I used to ride a bike on spine-road(the one you used to get to komarock)everyday to and from school...i knew every single pothole and rock on the pavements and edge of the road
You are good at history beautiful I love your content
My Brother i'am with you own the eastland tour thought it is great my best to the family will see you soon.
Wahh that description 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Good job. I love watching this, the last time i went to eastlando weehhh so congested and crazy 😭

I am back, fan 001 is back again. Been away for a while but I am glad my guy is doing some amazing stuff.
Glad to see you back Bro.
@@AfrikanTraveller Pleasure is all mine bro
Proud eastlander😊 great job afrikan Traveller👍
Karibu sana.
I like your videos very very nice coverage! Dreams start beyond those estates. Maybe in future you can do another version for the ghettos/slums of east lands like inside Kayole,Soweto, and by the way Gotta City (You will need a local guide that's safer). For Gotta City, you connect to Greenspan mall from caltex of Donholm the next roundabout from Greenspan mall is Jacaranda roundabout,do a right turn exit on it,on your the right will be Donholm phase 8 apartments then ahead you will see a bridge and a slum next to the river below (They charge to cross it on foot into the slum).Just ask for madocho the guys will show you.
This would've been a good opportunity to cover the recently dualled Kangundo Road...maybe you could do this on a future video..were waiting for the next one..
The sidewalks need major tlc.
Wow home sweet home eastlands 🤗
❤️💕💕💕🥰 NAIROBI is GREAT
Silent millionaires of Nairobi 😂 Eastlands is underrated. Glad you said where dreams are made. I haven't lived in Eastlando but I love it. I prefer the cooler and slower Thika, because it reflects my hometowns - Kericho and Kisii.
Nairobi looks good from a far but when you’re walking in the streets it’s a jungle

And to think this is where most lower middle income in Nairobi live.I think we are not doing too badly off as Kenyans.Descent houses
Shida huko tu ni horizontal infrastructure, barabara, sidewalks, usafi , drainage, na eastlands itakuwa place decent sana
If youve been to Kampala you'll appreciate Nairobi's infrastructure. Kampala is just chaos. No planning at all
Big up Afrikan Traveler naona youre growning .keep up the good work.
These are the videos I like the most from your channel...
I think that there are landlords who have built on road reserves within the Estates thus making it difficult for modern modest planning, accessibility in cases of emergency etc
Nice sights and sounds,good upload
Nice Yo. Good job showing this places using technology. It’s good for our brains

This shows our people responsible for urban planning went to school and have sum brains; but once those plans go to development and maintenance of standards corruption replaces them.
Asante mkuu. Beautiful Eastlando. Must be a pain to drive around in but looks perfect for walking.
Very nice to see Nairobi capital through the eyes of a drone...good job..some areas I dont know them...good job. 💙🇬🇧
