- WHY are Detective games (much) MORE FUN than Seer games in Wolvesville? 🕵️♂️
And how can we categorize all them all? I designed the *Informers Spectrum*, which is an easy way to see how good informers are in terms of setup creation, balance and forming opinions. It also is a clear overview of what roles you probably like if you like another (similar) role! 👁

Concepts:
Reactionary informers are informers that check players and their results show two or more ''suspects'', which requires players to claim or be revealed in a different way in order to find the killer.
Affirmative informers are informers that check players and their results show an exact role, team, aura etc. This can then be shared with the village and the village proceeds to lynch, shoot or mark them as good.
Conditional informers are informers that can only get info under certain circumstances. Think about the Sheriff that needs one of their ''watched'' players to die to get info, or the Violinist that needs a player (non-solo) to have died (first) last night/day.
Unconditional informers are informers that can (pretty much) always get information. They need barely any effort.

Simple reason, seers can directly check if someone is wolf or not, you can't lie unless seer gets killed along with med in nights 1-2, But with det, you can fake it and there is more space to claim rrv and do fake counter claims.
Amongst others yes, but the video is also about how Det is more fun in games than Aura/Gambler 😉

As an illusionist player I 100% agree.
I would agree even if I wouldn't be tbh, but in detective games being illusionist and saving your kills can become very funny, many checks may be ≠ because of you.
In seer or analyst setups though, they will be just illu/unk and will claim their real role, this can lead to some chaos but it won't be so fun
I remember one game I was pacifist, and I was very adamant that 13 who claimed doc was the real doc since there were no ccs and that 13 was just marked. The longer the game goes, 7 says that 13 is illu, and 7 got hung they were sorceror wolf, and the game just gets longer and 14 says they were doc all along. Now was 13 really illu or was 14 illu, oh how it was so confusing but I kept defending 13.
It's probably the most interesting game I've had against Illusionist.
what if a disguised player is voted? are they seen as illu?

I also like Sheriff as an informer. You have to pay attention if you want to bring any value to the village. And honestly since after the buff it seems very balanced too. It's also great for fake claims because
-you cant directly confirm yourself
-you dont have to claim an exact role right away to be trusted (if you fake-claim rrv or something)
-you dont have to give info every single day
-but still you can get a villager voted out by your fake info
Exactly, and yet people dare to call it "luck-based" 🤮
I improved my vigilance and it turned into a bully, really when I play it I feel everything more fun, there is more probability and seeing how they fight you because you throw stones
I personally dont like playing as informers 🗣️ ( but if I had to pick, it would be bell ringer )
But on the other hand, I like to act like one when im non villager ( cuz it's help you to maintain your identity while think before giving info )
This video is foremost about playing AGAINST/WITH informers, but not about playing AS informers. Most of the times, you will namely be one of the other 14 roles 😉
Really enjoyed the theoretical vid, looking forward to similar comparison between various village killing roles, protectors, ww roles and even solos in the future :)

Not to forget that it ruins the point of the game. Why bother risking vote or trying to guess when you can reveal someone like fool or arso and their game is ruined

Compared to town of salem's informer(or town investigative). They actually serve a whole different purpose other than busting evil(tho they could). Wolvesville's informer's whole purpose is to find evils and confirm. Like seer knows the role. Aura needs to find the aura but affirms the identity with an aura. Detective needs to know who is evil based on their results on teams.
Investigator in town of salem is rather reactionary than affirmative(tho affirmative by checking a player and see their results contradicts the player's claims) the results investigator has needs to know what the player claims to see if it matches the results. However,claiming within your results as an evil like a serial killer claiming doctor or arsonist claiming bodyguard isnt a good idea due to stereotypes(if there is a serial killer rampant,they would suspect doctors). Investigator is rather reactionary like i said but can find an evil(though claiming within your results can make investigator abit weak,you should do it if investigator is in the game. However you can get meta'd if you claim the role in your result) tho investigator has 4 roles that affects it's results(Hex master,framer,arsonist and disguiser)
Sheriff is more of a 50/50 since the innocent or suspicious results isnt 100% certain. Most evils have the innocent results(like godfater,arsonist and etc.) But it can be affirmative and reactionary(reactionary because you need a claim from the player you find suspicious) however its easily faked like doctor or survivor
Psychic is completely reactionary since it has a vision that randomly selects players in this results to find an evil and players needs to claim when Psychic has its good/evil vision
Tracker needs to know who target visited that night and he can confirm the player as to where they visited but can bust them if the player they visited died or they had an effect. Its rather reactionary but more affirmative
Lookout is rather strong due to the TpLo meta where a jailor call for tplo(Escort,spy,doctor and bodyguard and lookout visits the jailor) to confirm them that they indeed visited the jailor but they can affirm the player that they visited who they visited
Spy is rather strong since it counters all mafia. Its purpose is to know who mafia and coven visited and what mafia and coven exists. It is rather affirmative since consigliere or consort exists and he can bust any investigator or escort claims that visits whoever a mafia visited
But tos vs wolvesville is that wov Informer focuses on finding evil. Tos town investigative focuses on getting information,confirming and finding
I think the reason of it is detective's lack of strength. Many informers powercreeped detective currently. Detective being rsv is debetable. One of the reason of it because aura has exact "evil" info which is not easy to counter compared to detective while you have huge chance to trick village with detective info. Maybe the reason detective is more fun because it has less power compared to other detective. (You can't say det makes 2 people claim their role because ss and analyst do that better.)
I would say that nwm is also an informer, scince it can see protection and clear most/all protectors. And maybe jailer/warden are also informer roles beacause you can force ppl to claim and spread the claim to the vill. Also, if there are no kills and only one ww is left, the ww is proboably jailed, wich is also informative. But in that case you should also put the med tree up there, because it can spread the info that the dead gives (like claims of corrupted players and info from a dead informer)
I also hope that seer games will have less powerful villagers than detective games in sandbox.

reactionary unconditional extreme would be being able to see if they used an ability (since it wouldnt count for a few roles)
I like Fortune Teller, also I have notice that Wolves can fake the role reveal if they get a card
Yes, you can do that since the rework. But not only wolves but all evils are able to do this.
Seer games are annoying when seer checks you n1 and theres basically nothing you can do

Best seer are SS ! never get tricked by ww shaman or storm ww ! you do the x2 info of the gambler if lucky and never scare of fool in single check! worst are red lady.

there is a limit of 30 cards per month with levelling up, you probably hit that

Hypo, could you help me please? I entered your clan 2 weeks ago, and asked the co-leaders when they were going to start the next quest, since there were 3 days since they finished the last quest. I was joking, asking them to save me from the boredom, since I'm on holidays but they took it very seriously.
Well, when they started the quest they started to bother me, saying that I was contributing less then they expected for someone who wanted to start the quest so hard. They did this 2 times, telling me that the xp I was doing wasn't enough.
Well, I started to try harder on helping the clan with the quest, and did.. 3400xp?
Then I saw that the co-leader that was telling me that my xp wasn't enough did way less xp then I did, and I decided to repeat exactly what he said to me before.
He banned me from the clan, before we could finish the quest, and the reason he wrote on the ban was just "adios".
I didn't say anything offensive at all, I just repeated exactly what Tomk said to me, because he teased me the whole quest and I was really annoyed. Now the abused of his power as a co-leader, and I basically spent 500 coins on that quest for nothing... and I really wanted that avatar!

@@doritosfeliz I just unbanned you. I did see the co-leader pov too though and timezones differ, so sometimes a player may get their xp later on.

@@doritosfeliz when its 9 pm for you, it might be 2 am (nighttime) for others, at which time they dont play and thus they get the xp later
