When I was there in 2018 I was told the canoe's were free if you were staying at the Fairmont chateau with scenic tours!! But I missed out because of this hike which took us over 6 hours but it's a hike I will never forget we don't get to see scenery like this in Australia.
I can only imagine how nice those Pines smell! Agree those views are worth any foul smell. Haha. I actually like the idea of switching backpacks and/or attaching what you need/use the most to theirs. Great ideas! Such gorgeous scenery.

Jen Lefforge I’m so glad that came across! I was worried😬 Steve and I hiked the Dolomites a few years ago. We spent 4 days hiking from one Refugio to another. It kind of reminded me of that kind of beauty. We don’t see it very often so I am always in awe. You know what the Texas scene is... not too many lush green scapes or mountains here🤣🤪😂.
