Thank you so much for sharing this, Renna! I’m beginning my transition journey at 40, and my hairline is currently much like you described-it’s one of the biggest contributors to my dysphoria at the moment. Seeing your results is SO encouraging to me (and many others, I’m sure!) I knew about finasteride and minoxidil and was looking into Keeps or one of the other sources online, and had heard of bicalutamide as a T-blocker, but didn’t know about it being used as an alternative for hair regrowth also. Very good to know, for sure! Happy Pride, and keep it up with the great content-can’t wait to see what you have to share with us next! 😊🏳️⚧️💜
With a head like Roger from American Dad I recently started finasteride and minoxidil. I hope my results are a fraction as good as yours. Just want to add you look incredible babes and your videos about transition are both enjoyable and informative to watch. Thank You x
That's interesting in the video for the explain to Hair Regrowth and hormones to advance with the experience, you're so wonderful and Happy Pride Month😍🥰💖💜🌈🏳️🌈✨✨
Thank you for sharing, I just started medically transitioning and this is by far my biggest insecurity, it’s definitely noticeable, I’m hoping that I have a similar story and recovery, once again thx ❤
@@sik-techgaming2748 I’m probably getting on it, my doctor told me to wait until the 3 month period before we experiment with it, I just hit a month a few days ago and I’m just on estradiol and progesterone atm
Hi renna just got here . Wow after my nose which I hate my hairline is my biggest problem. Thats why it's so important to transition young . You are super good at these educational videos. Your hairline is perfect. ❤👍
Prior to HRT I never had an issue with hair loss.. I had always had a full head of hair and always wore it longer.. Once I began HRT I did experience some hair loss for the first few weeks.. would notice it when I combed it out or washed it.. but not enough to notice but I did worry.. after about a month on HRT the hair loss went away.. Later I would find that starting MTF HRT can sometimes cause hair loss also, but it's usually short lived.. and thankfully for me it was.. Good luck with your channel.
Ever since Covid I haven't had a haircut. Mainly because my favorite shop shut down and every other place around me has a record of bad workers, it's given me an excuse to have my hair reach down half of my back. I feel proud of my very long ponytail my friends can't see me without anymore.
Really enjoyed video. I almost went bald 6 years ago from stress. This is what I did. First I got rid of the stress. Then I started taking Biotin. Later I added pumpkin seed extract and Vitamin D. At some point I started using Rosemary Oil with Jojoba oil. I also switched to organic shampoo and conditioner. Along with that I started massaging my scalp. During this time I quit shampooing my hair every day. I prefer at least three days before shampooing. Recently I began using Rosemary Water, homemade. Then I incorporated Argan oil as a detangler. Later I added to my hair as a conditioner. The last thing added was Apple Cider Vinegar water. That makes the hair softer and easy to detangle. How has it all worked. Fairly good. My hair is almost to the middle of my back. I can reach around and touch it. I would say it's about medium thickness. That's a long ways from bald. It's in a ponytail right now. It looks beautiful! I'm not an expert on hair. Please do some research. There's much that can be done. Don't give up!
1mg of Finasteride per day is all you really need for MPB problems. Been taking it for over 10 weeks now. No problems. I tried increasing the dose to two 1mg tablets per day and it made me feel a bit depressed, went back 1 and was okay.
Hair is a concern for me as well. I have arches similar to what you described. I’m currently 2 months hrt so I’m hoping in a month or so I’ll see some growth. I’m personally worried about my hair becoming dependent on minoxidil. But seeing how it’s worked for you leaves me with some optimism.
I asked my GP about the Bicalutamide and she said it was a strong cancer drug and very expensive. She did not recommend it despite my concerns over Spiro. I am still leaning heavily to orchioectomy to permanently reduce the level of testosterone in my body.
I was badly balding pretransition. Defined M shape, thin on top. Like, so thin, I couldn't do bangs. With a combo of finasteride, minoxidil, and microneedling, I've had near total regrowth. Since I added scalp massages recently, I've seen even more improvements in both hairline and hair quality. I got very lucky. My doctor has been really impressed.
Renna, thank you for the video. As always, you're amazing and your content helps people (including me!) I have a question: Where did you get that top and bra? They're AMAZING and I need them lol. Hugs!
Hi! I was in the same boat as you and waited years and… I regrew my hair too! It’s not perfect but it’s 100x better than it used to be! I posted a couple videos ab my progress too.
41 years old, started decapetryn 3 months ago, I was totaly balled , now i have black hairs all over the top of my head, not as thick as the rest of my hair but am hoping it will thincken up, I still think i am imagining it hair regrowth on head and body hair disapearing;
You are a southern belle 😘😘😘 also I came out to my parents and it didn’t go good long story short I can’t transition because of one thing I don’t have the money to start 😥😥
Do you think you could talk about body hair growth after HRT please ? I should be starting at the end of this month and my two biggest worries are my voice and body hair. I know I can do laser but I was wondering if HRT by itself has an effect on hair
HRT will reduce body hair significantly over time but it's a process that can take a couple of years. I've been on HRT for over 15 years so I've seen pretty much everything hormones are gonna do. HRT will not decrease facial hair. I got laser 15 years ago & I'm still happy with the result. Nothing changes the voice because once the vocal chords are developed that's it. However, there are voice feminization techniques including surgery. I've had good success with voice training. There are some really helpful videos on YT on this topic. Good luck!
@@johnnie2638 thank you for sharing ! I’m glad to hear it effects body hair. I think I should schedule laser for my face soon. I’ve seen some of the voice training videos but I get really discouraged. I need to be more persistent about practicing
@@crispycloe Don't get discouraged sweetie. Like everything else regarding transition it's just a process. The best places I found to practice are in traffic. Take it from someone who had a baritone you can enjoy wonderful progress. It's not in a race so take your time but most of all try to enjoy your voice practice. Just keep focused on the real you coming out!
Yes body hair doesn't go away but get thinner and smaller. Electrolysis in my opinion works better with better results. Voice doesn't change so you need voice lessons.
I hope you are not bullied and harassed. I lived in Georgia in the early 70s for several years. You have to set your watch back 150 years when you move there.
Hello im a filipino trans but i only started dec 24 2020 and im also a month on taking hrt, I notice that my hair on my legs are not that feminine cos the hair is still there but it appears thinner, and also i have a question those the hair on the legs looks like feminine when it come to 6 months like it become some other cis woman leg hair, i mean the hair is not that noticeable anymore those possible cause I can’t afford and lasser hair removal
You're such a doll❣️ Thanks for making this video and taking one for the team 😝 No worries I'll watch and share your videos a bunch of times😉💙💜🤍

The only thing stopping me from coming out is the fear of hair. I am almost bald and this thing is killing me from inside.
I feel you. I’m bald too and it feels absolutely devastating. Like I’m completely out of options to ever become who I want to be.

So if a bald guy wants a full head of hair again he would have to become female ?
Absolutely not, do not transition if you just want hair. That is an awful decision, especially if you font have free health care.

How old when you started hrt?
With spiral I started having allergic reactions so they took me off of that and they put me on finasteride
Hey fellow trans woman here :) Have you by chance noticed any height loss from HRT? The reports are very contradictory on this and I’m really confused
Yes
Can a man use bicalutamide?
as one of it's more common side effects, it can cause (causes, trust me) gynoclimastia (breast enlargement. :)

Thats possible! 😂😂
