Nice images, but you're mixing up train companies and models, and some facts are incorrect as far as I know. -Thalys and SCNF TGV aren't trains, they're companies with several train types running at different speeds. Not one operator but one system. France and Belgium pretty much already have that: They have speed lines to their borders with each other, the UK, Germany, the Netherlands, Switzerland, and partly also with Spain. Our goal would be to involve more countries. Pretty hard since there are geographical barriers and the slow railway lines in Germany in the way
In the Netherlands its limit in speed is 120kph i mean they buyed a modern highspeed train that can go 330kph for an track with an macimum of 120kph lol

Currently the Frecciarossa1000 is the fastest train in Europe, as it is authorized at a service speed of 360km/h (AGVs are only allowed at 350km/h). Currently both the Red Arrow1000 and .italo travel at 300km/h because the cost of maintaining lines at over 300km/h would be too high. There has been quite a bit of controversy, for what it's worth, over Italy's behaviour regarding the AGV, including their deliberately delaying its entry into service because it would have competed with FdS.

There are mistakes related to TGVs and Thalys. 1. TGV Atlantique (and Thalys PBA) has installed power 8,8 MW. TGV POS (and Thalys PBKA) has installed power 9,6 MW. @@ShadowLine504 ehm, no, the ICE always calls at Arnhem Central, Utrecht Central and Amsterdam Central and passengers can use the ICE for domestic traveling within NL.
Jeez!... the german flag does not indicate that the train only runs in Germany. The German flag indicates, that the ICE 3 (Intercityexpress 3) in this particular form is owned by and designed for "DB" (Deutsche Bahn) a GERMAN railway company! It does not mean that it only runs in Germany. As you said, there are also ICE 3 trains running from a dutch city to another dutch city. And just for the sake of it, I get very precisely. The first ICE 3 train was the class 403, a one system train. That means that the 403 in fact only ran and runs in Germany. :) However, there is a class 406 of the ICE 3 train. It is a multisystem train and can run on different electrified rails in Europe, including the Netherlands. So the Train you see at the Arnhem Centraal is a 406 and the train in the picture with the flag is probably a 403 and thus only runs in Germany There are also other variants and developments of the ICE 3 trains running in different countries called "Velaro" (for Example Velaro RUS in Russia) Greetings CARrera. :D

As I understand it, these trains are categorized by the speed they were designed for, while most operate at a slower speed ? So some trains designed with a lower speed will end up operating at the same speed or more than a train which is supposed to be faster... it's a weird way to classify. Italian trains are therefore first as they operate at a slower speed than Spanish, German, French and Eurostar trains (i.e. all trains in the video except the last one), a great way to swap the first and last places, quite fair. Anyway it does not change much, they all have a similar speed...
I appreciate you took the time to understand how the top was made. Yes, the trains have been sorted by their design speed. Why? Because most of the countries have implemented speed limits, so it's like having a Ferrari or Lamborghini but you are told you can only run at 250km/h maximum speed. It feels fair to classify vehicles by their manufacturer design speed (ideally proven by live tests), as this is their true potential. A high-speed train requires specific railway infrastructure to run at its maximum speed. If that is not up to the standards, then you have limited speeds implemented as we can see pretty much everywhere.
The italo is a french train (AGV in France) made by alstom and bought by the italians and je would be a potential replacement when the TGV would be to old to work

In a nutshell: From Saint Petersburg to Barcelona, from London to Athens we have a fantastic system of high speed trains in Europe. I really like messages like this :)
The German ICE can use its power only when it runs abroad (e.g. to Paris). The German rails (with the exception of a small section between Cologne and Frankfurt) are shit, so this powerful train is forced to run only at 240 km/hour (or even far slower) whereas all other highspeed trains in the world run at 350 km/hour. Germany is far behind.
I've heard an interview of Mr Pietsak (fastest man to drive a train, TGV for instance) who explained the ICE was not as fast as the TGV. ICE has better acceleration because german cities are closer than french ones but it has difficulties to sustain 320 km/h along the hilly and very long french east high speed line

The ICE is running from Germany to other countries as well for ex. swiss, netherlands, denmark etc. The train just stopped there because the distance of these 2 stations would be to short for an ICE to run.
However, there is a class 406 of the ICE 3 train. It is a multisystem train and can run on different electrified rails in Europe, including the Netherlands. So the Train you see at the Arnhem Centraal is a 406 and the train in the picture with the flag is probably a 403 and thus only runs in Germany

Me encantan esos trenes!!! Verlos rodando en todo su esplendor👍
I love the opening. Fastest trains in Europe whilst showing footage of a train in China

Excepto los españoles, por alguna razón, que así aparecen como si fueran lentos, cuando no lo son. Más silenciosos sí parecen.
Renfe OARIS is way shorter than 200m and Renfe does not use New Pendolino train, it’s a train that looks the same but it’s technically different.
Right
Spanish train velaro e should be the 2nd as its operationed speed and record speed are higher than preciarossa 1000 also faster than Italo AGV by record speed.
Antonio Silvera the Velaro is build in Germany by siemens, and Frecciarossa1000 and italo operates at 300km/h because RFI (the administrator of italian railways) should spend a lot of money in the maintenance of the railways to improve the speed at 360km/h, but Frecciarossa1000 and italo are approved to go at 360km/h
@@ferrarisuper it was built in spain, in talgo factories.
@@ferrarisuper wrong.. The Spanish Velaro is made in Spain by Talgo it's lighter than the Siemens ones and faster..
@@ferrarisuper Wrong. Velaro EIs made in Spain by Talgo and Siemens for the Spain's standard
@@ferrarisuperrenfe Velaro E is built in Spain by Talgo and Siemens. It's faster than other Velaro because it's lighter and has some other changes
Actually the Eurostar E320, ICE 3 and Renfe Velaro E are just variants of the same base train (Siemens Velaro) (and I think in China they use this model too)
They are all based of off the ICE 3 which is the original model.
Talgo with Siemens made the Velaro E in Spain for the Spanish standards and conditions
The ICE I love it record is 406,9 km/h
Well not exactly... There was a prototype before the ICE 1 called the Intercity Experimental/ICE V (Versuchszug) wich acomplished the mentioned record of 406,9 km/h in 1988. The first series of the ICE, the ICE 1 has a top speed of "only" 280 km/h.

Makes me realise (as if I didn't know) what absolute CRAP the railways in the UK are!
Aren't they planning to get some new faster trains?
@@Jin88866 Faster trains on old victorian track don't go faster. Once they've left the EU, it'll be glorious, we keep holding them back I hear.
@@Jin88866 Only on ONE main rail line. 10 years to build and at £billions cost.
After Brexit, trains in the UK will run on rainbows and look like unicorns.
The UK is building HS2 from London to Birmingham, Manchester and Leeds. Those trains will travel at 200mph.
Edit: Those trains would probably be 1st in this list.
0:57 WHAT WAS THAT speed at the track change????
Cool spanish trains
