Is this cheap beginner woodworking tool better than a track saw?

  • I'm using a tool for cuttings sheet goods like plywood but is much cheaper. I was just trying to make some upgrades to my small workshop. This was supposed to be a beginner woodworking project but it turned out to be harder than it should have been because I kept making sooo many mistakes. Knowing what I know now, I would have completed this project in 1 weekend. So hopefully you learn from my mistakes and don't make the same fails I did. I had already built cabinets for my small workshop and I just wanted to build some drawers out of plywood and also a drawer box. My first mistake was drawing up my plans before I bought the plywood. I just continued to make mistakes after that.

It is so nice to see that I’m not the only one who has inherited that extremely rare superpower of being able to turn a simple one day build into a tool throwing, excessive beer drinking multi week project!!!! And by the way I LOVED THE VOLTRON ACTION FIGURE!!!!

In your videos, I am always afraid of / or / look forward to what is inside of things... Drawers, cabinets etc

This is the funniest build ever, you deserve a new subscriber! It taught me a lot with all your candid errors. More valuable to beginners than a perfect video where all the errors are not shown. I appreciate you use cheap box store materials, most of us only have access to this and are not making living room furniture. Thanks for sharing your journey through this video.

Fantastic video! We ALL do this and hide the goofs. The ability to keep going, not lose your mind or your cool, and complete the task is key! You keep right on doing this! Remember, experience is what you get just AFTER you needed it!

Nice drawer unit. You didn't have to show me how to make the mistakes. I have already made all of them. Thank you for sharing. Have a great day and stay safe.🙂🙂

Before cutting your wood, acclimate it to your shop & put weight on the bowed areas. Put support under the flat areas & where you want the bowed areas to end up to flatten it.

if your looking for a track saw and dont want to spend a ton the wen is 167 with tracks i believe. Its been a really good to me for a fraction of the price and i dont regret it at all. Its honestly got me looking at more of their tool line. Also im loving your channel man and can see you getting to 100k in no time. Also like how you leave in the mess ups and how you deal with them because as people were rarely perfect and we all know most jobs are 25% fk ups, 25% cussing, and the other 50% fixing what we messed up one way or another. one thing you should look into is a 3d printer as well. Id reccomend every shop to have one as theyre amazing for printing out jigs, those plastic containers you bought, wall mounts for tools and so on. Like one of those tubs you bought could be printed for like 25-50 cents and its super easy.

This whole video is so great. The project is fun, but you sir, are a comedian! I was laughing out loud! Looking forward to the butter knife channel!😂

You crack me up! Nice to see every day humans with normal screw ups that are actually talked about. This is my first time to see your videos!! Keep it up.

Mate, this is one of the best program I've seen in ages. A good Diyer is not all about doing things right all the time, but rather being able to solve problems and making your work look respectable.

Watching you is good therapy for me. Makes me feel a little bit better about my blundering woodworking self. Thanks dude!!!

Thanks for helping me feel I’m not alone. LOL. Mistakes are part of the process. I enjoy your videos more than those who don’t make mistakes and leave me feeling stupid. :)

I appreciate how you show the mistakes you make and how you fixed it. So many people only show the good and none of the mistakes. I know people have been woodworking for decades and make silly mistakes like we all do.

Yu are the kind of wood working expert. I’ve been looking for!

I wish I could subscribe to your channel a second time. You truly should win the award for most gags (visual and verbal) ever packed into a RUclips woodworking video, and maybe any video.
